Watermarks are a versatile tool for ensuring brand visibility, indicating authenticity and preventing forgery on documents. ReportBro supports both text and image watermarks.

You can activate the use of watermarks in your template in the document properties.

1. Position and style text watermarks

Let's take the example of a top secret letter. We want to ensure that everyone reading the letter recognizes its importance.

Add a new text watermark in the menu panel. It is initially positioned at the top left of your layout - be aware that if your layout is full of text you might not immediately see it.

You can now move it freely within your layout and style it like any other text element.

In addition to styling and configuration options available for text and image elements, watermarks offer extra features such as rotation, opacity adjustment, and the option to display them in the foreground of your design.

2. Position and style image watermarks

Adding an image watermark works exactly the same way as adding a text watermark. You can use either static images as watermarks or integrate dynamic images via parameters.

Best Practices

Watermarks are only visible when enabled in the menu panel, ensuring they don't distract you while designing your layout.

Watermarks are positioned absolutely in your layout. They can spready over the whole page including header and footer.

By default, watermarks are printed on all pages. However, you can customize this behavior by applying a print condition in the watermark element's print settings.

If your layout includes page breaks, ensure you place the watermark on the first page. Otherwise, it might not be visible.
