For Maximizer users, QuoteWerks now supports Maximizer CRM Live - the web version of Maximizer! The integration for Maximizer Desktop 10.0 and higher has been retained as well. With this new integration you can search for contacts, create/update sales opportunities, and upload quote attachments into Maximizer. DataLink is fully supported, along with the features to attach to the CRM record. There is a button on the SoldTo/ShipTo tab to display the contact in Maximizer CRM, and also a link on the links tab that you can click to view the Maximizer Opportunity in Maximizer CRM. Additionally, emails sent from QuoteWerks are logged in Maximizer CRM history. The Corporate Edition of QuoteWerks is required to integrate with Maximizer CRM Live.

When sending emails you can now control where/how the email is logged in your CRM. For ACT!, ACT! for Web, GoldMine, Maximizer, and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the CRM record for the SoldTo contact. Previously this would happen behind the scenes automatically, whereas now you have more control over it. For GoldMine and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the E-Mail recipient contact record in GoldMine or MS CRM respectively.

Attach File to CRM feature. With this feature you can automatically and manually attach files to your CRM. When emailing a quote to your customer as a PDF file, the PDF file will automatically be attached. When uploading a quote to QuoteValet and Emailing the customer the notification, the PDF file of the quote will automatically be attached. You can manually attach a file to your CRM by right clicking on a file in the Links tab, on the Print Preview window, and also from the Print window Save as PDF option. This makes the PDF version of the quote viewable by any colleagues that have access to the CRM record without having to have QuoteWerks installed. Particularly useful for the service or technical side of the business having access to the details of the job that was quoted. This new feature is turned on by default and can be controlled with the setting "[]Automatically attach PDF sent to customer by E-Mail or QuoteValet to the CRM Account or Opportunity." located on the Print tab of the Tools->Options menu.When using this feature with Autotask, ConnectWise, salesforce.com, you need to attach the quote to an opportunity first. Once the quote is associated with the CRM opportunity, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM Opportunity. When using this feature with ACT! 2005+, GoldMine, Outlook, Outlook BCM, MS CRM, Maximizer 10+, SugarCRM, and SalesLogix you need to link the quote to a CRM contact first. Once the quote is linked with the CRM contact, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM contact.

The initial release of the new Maximizer integration for Maximizer versions 10.0 and 10.5 did not support custom fields. For Maximizer 10.0 and 10.5 users, the QuoteWerks DataLink feature now supports Maximizer custom fields. Also, QuoteWerks now retrieves a list of all available custom fields from Maximizer, rather than presenting you with a static list of fields to choose from. You will need to edit your DataLink mappings and select the appropriate Maximizer custom field. The Maximizer custom fields are displayed in the DataLink field list with the prefix of "CustomField->".

New and improved Maximizer 10.0 and 10.5 integration! The improved integration includes: a) Maximizer can now be searched to find Companies, Individuals, or Contacts to pull into the quote. Previously you could only retrieve the currently displayed Maximizer contact. b) QuoteWerks now creates/updates linked documents in Maximizer as embedded documents allowing for them to be synchronized using Maximizer's synchronization. c) The QuoteWerks DataLink feature now retrieves the information from the Maximizer record that the quote is linked to, rather than just the current record. This can be used with Maximizer enabling you to retrieve information like Terms and shipping method from the Maximizer Company, Individual, or Contact (whichever is linked to the quote) into the quote. d) When printing, QuoteWerks can retrieve Contact data from the Maximizer contact that is linked to the quote and include it in the printed output. Previously only data from the current Maximizer record could be used. e) Maximizer Contact data can be retrieved using the F2 Lookup macro of ~Max_Macro() to pull data from the Maximizer contact that is linked to the quote. Previously only data from the current Maximizer record could be used. With these changes, Maximizer versions earlier than 7.0 are no longer supported.

QuoteWerks can now send emails throught Outlook! You now have a choice to send emails from within QuoteWerks using the QuoteWerks built-in SMTP based email client, or Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000, XP. When email is sent using Outlook, for GoldMine users, it is logged in GoldMine history as if the Outlook email was sent from within GoldMine. Same applies to ACT! and Maximizer users. An additional obvious benefit of this new integration with Outlook, is that the emails that you send through QuoteWerks will now be logged for historical reference purposes.

We moved the "Enabled GoldMine synchronization" option from the GoldMine area of the Contacts |Setup Contact Manager menu to the Installation tab of the Tools|Options menu, and renamed it to "Look for synchronized data.". When this option is checked and you use the built-in QuoteWerks contact manager, when you save a quote, a dtf file for the quote will be created in the \quotewerks\dtf folder. If you use the built-in QuoteWerks contact manager, ACT, Maximizer or Outlook, now when you double click on a linked attachment, QuoteWerks will import that document into its database if it does not exist, and update the existing document in the database if it is older. Since Maximizer, ACT, Outlook, and QuoteWerks does not have an automatic mechanism to transport these files, with this new behavior, if you provide your own mechanism for transferring these files, then QuoteWerks can take over from there.
