 11. The macro name &APP_LayoutName is available on the Misc tab of Tools->Options for the generation of the file name for the "Document Attachment file" and "PO Document Attachment file". This is very useful because when used the file name generated would contain the name of the primary selected layout or word document used to generate the file giving the file name some meaningful context.

 12. There are now the macros &APP_LicensingPrimarySerialNumber, &APP_LicensingEnterpriseLicenseCount, and &APP_LicensingSiteLicenseCount available through the Application.GetMacro API method.

 13. ConnectWise 2017.2 is now supported!

 14. When adding a File Link from the Links tab, if you select a file that is not under the \QuoteWerks folder, you will be prompted to link directly to the file or copy it to a centralized storage location (\QuoteWerks\Resources) and link to that file. Users can set the default behavior with the option "When adding File Link default to option to Copy to Centralized Storage" under the Misc tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu. Also adminstrators can force the centralized storage with the Misc Access right of "ForceFileLinksAttachModeAsCopy".

 15. The Tools->Refresh Item Details menu now an option to choose which Product Data Source you want to refresh the line item data from. Also there is an option "Obtain refreshed data from:" when multiple line items are selected to force the refresh to look in the selected database versus the database specified in the line item. Also the columns are sortable useful in grouping all fields together that have data in them, or sorting the field names alphabetically.

 16. For ConnectWise users, when converting a quote to an order and converting the ConnectWise opportunity to Won, you can now specify the Close Date. Also when subsequently updating the order and saving the changes to the ConnectWise Closed Won Opportunity, the Closed date will no longer change unless you change it.

 29. SugarCRM 7.8 is now supported!

 30. For Product Content Subscribers, the Etilize Product Comparison now supports ASI, Westcoast, Northamber distributors.

 38. There is now an "Installation Password" feature that can be used to prevent an unauthorized person from updating a QuoteWerks Installation. This is especially useful for preventing remote installations from updating without the permission of their IT administrator. It is also useful for IT administrators and resellers in preventing some random user from updating the network installation of QuoteWerks. Now, before an installation update can begin, if an Installation Password has been set by the administrator, the user will have to supply a valid Installation Password before they will be able to proceed with installing the update.

 39. When a QuoteWerks update was just installed and a workstation runs QuoteWerks for the first time, it will now prevent other workstations from running QuoteWerks while QuoteWerks is upgrading the data to the new Build.

 40. Most data stored in .ini files has been moved into database tables. All of the settings that have been transferred to database tables can be viewed from the new Settings Manager accessible by clicking on the [Settings Manager] button on the System tab of the Help->About menu. The Settings Manager is also available from within the Medic Utility by selecting the Utilities->Settings Manager menu. For complete details please see the help file topic "Appendix: QuoteWerks Version 5.2 INI to Database Changes".

 41. Licensing enforcement no longer uses the .lck file based system. It now uses a Database license metering system. There are some powerful capabilities that come along with this change. Now, if a user is logged into QuoteWerks and locks their machine and leaves for the weekend, users with Master Rights can now revoke their license making it available for other users. When this user comes back they will only have the option to save and close their currently open quotes and exit. The Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanRevokeOthersLicenseAllocation" can be granted to non Master Rights users to give them this capability.

 42. Administrators can now force QuoteWerks to terminate. When an IT administrator wants to make sure everyone is out of QuoteWerks (to apply an update for example) they can force the termination of running instances of QuoteWerks. Any unsaved quotes will be saved as recovery documents. It is not ideal to terminate QuoteWerks this way, but if the admin has no other options, then at least they have the ability to terminate the running exe. The Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanTerminateOthersRunningInstances" can be granted to non Master Rights users to give them this capability.

 43. From the QuoteWerks Login window holding down SHIFT while clicking OK will launch the Logged In Users window where you can see what other users are logged into QuoteWerks. This window will only appear if have entered the correct password for the username. If you have rights to revoke licenses or terminate running instances you can do that from this window. An extra capability of this feature is that if a user is at this login screen and cannot login because there are not enough licenses, an administrator can walk over to this machine, choose their username, enter their password and get access to the Logged In Users window where they can revoke someone else's license. After closing this window, the login window will re-appear for the regular user to then login normally.

 44. Licensing events are now recorded. Certain events are always recorded like license revokings, forced terminations are now recorded, reaching max Primary license count, reaching max Real-time license count, and reaching max QuoteValet license count. Other events like "[] Record failed login attempts", and "[] Record successful login/logoff (includes duration)" can be turned on/off under the Security tab of the Tools->Options menu. You can display the Event Viewer by clicking on the [Event Viewer] button on the Utilities->LoggedInUsers menu.

 45. When a login fails because there are not enough licenses, the Logged In Users window will automatically be displayed.

 46. If you attempt to login using a UserName that is already logged into QuoteWerks, you will be given the option to revoke the license from the other logged in instance so that you can login.

 47. For Autotask users, when creating or updating an Autotask Quote the QuoteWerks Customer PO# now populates the PurchaseOrderNumber field in the Autotask quote.

 48. For ConnectWise 2016.3 and higher users, QuoteWerks recurring products can now be written to a ConnectWise Opportunity Item as a recurring product (utilizing this newer feature in ConnectWise). This feature is only available in the new ConnectWise REST API. It is not available in the older ConnectWise SOAP API, so you must enable the ConnectWise REST API in QuoteWerks setup to use this new feature.

 49. For ConnectWise 2016.3 and higher users, when the ConnectWise REST API is enabled, there is now an option on the REST API tab of the ConnectWise Setup window to "write QuoteWerks SoldToPONumber 'Cust PO#' to ConnectWise Opportunity".

 50. Bundles can now be searched by Begins with, Contains, and Ends with. The last selection is remembered per user.

 51. Configurations can now be searched by Begins with, Contains, and Ends with. The last selection is remembered per user.

 52. When rehosting to SQL you can now specify an existing Database to rehost to. This is useful so that you do not have to supply a SQL server UserID that has the security rights to create databases.

 53. Added new Misc Access rights CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomDate01, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomDate02, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomNumber01, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomNumber02, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomNumber03, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomNumber04, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomNumber05, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomMemo01, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_CustomMemo02, CannotModifyFieldValue:DI_InternalPartNumber

 54. For API users, added the events: BeforeSynchronization(sXMLData, bCancel) AND AfterSynchronization(sXMLData)

 55. For API users, the event BeforeSaveDocument(ByVal iSaveAction As Integer, ByRef bCancel as Boolean) now fires for the AutoSave events with an iSaveAction=4.

 56. For API users, added event AfterSaveDocumentEx(ByVal iSaveAction As Integer, ByVal iResult As Integer, ByVal sXMLData As String). This event provides more information than the existing AfterSaveDocument() event.

 57. The creation of user login names is no longer limited by the 8 character user INI file name generation. You used to receive a message like "The User Name specified cannot be added because it conflicts with the {username}.ini file of JLEWE.INI"

 58. Under the [Addons] section of the siteboot.ini file there is a new AutoRunXUsers= key. Here you can specify a comma delimited list of users that you want the addon for. For example the AutoRun1=notepad.exe and the AutoRun1Users=John Lewe, Brian Laufer

 59. For API users, added a series of methods to read/write/delete settings from the new Settings table since the data has been moved out of ini files into the database. Application.SiteSettingRead (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String) Application.SiteSettingWrite (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String, sKeyValue as String) Application.SiteSettingDelete (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String) Application.SystemSettingRead (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String) Application.SystemSettingWrite (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String, sKeyValue as String) Application.SystemSettingDelete (sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String) Application.UserSettingRead (sUserName as String, sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String) Application.UserSettingWrite (sUserName as String, sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String, sKeyValue as String) Application.UserSettingDelete (sUserName as String, sSectionName as String, sKeyName as String, sKeyValue as String)

 64. Effective June 25th, 2016 Salesforce.com now requires all SOAP queries to be sent using the TLS 1.1 protocol. QuoteWerks now supports this. The TLS 1.1 protocol is not available on Windows XP machines, so any users that wish to use QuoteWerks (or any other software) to interact with salesforce.com services will need to be running the software on Windows Vista or higher. Additionally TLS 1.1 requires that the Microsoft .NET framework version 4.5 be installed and Internet Explorer (IE) 11 or higher needs to be installed. In Microsoft Internet Explorer(IE), TLS 1.1 must be enabled. To enable, click on the Gear/Settings button in IE and select Internet Options from the menu. This is useful when using a non-Etilize data source when adding products to your quote or when importing a Quote from Tech Data or other vendor. Tech Data quotes created over the last 45 days will be available. You do not need to know the Tech Data quote number, and you can import all the details into the QuoteWerks quote, saving time and reducing data entry error. To use this feature, on the grid toolbar on the DocumentItems tab, click on the TD icon drop down button and choose "Retrieve Tech Data SAP Quote" menu option. You must have Tech Data XML credentials entered into QuoteWerks to use this feature. Quotes created via StreamOne (Tech Data's Cloud Services Website) are currently not available using this Tech Data API.

This will enable you to present your customer with a single monthly payment amount that includes both the lease payment for the upfront purchase amount and also your monthly recurring service charges.

 73. the Payment Options section on the Sale Info tab has been improved to include a display for the Purchase Amount and also the Monthly Recurring Amount. For the Upfront Purchase options, if there is a monthly recurring amount for the quote, it will display that amount in the upfront purchase option. The DocumentItems.&LineNumber feature is designed based on the need to uniquely identify a line on the quote primarily for purposes of talking with the customer about it over the phone or by email. This feature gives you the ability to tag/highlight line items in a way that you can use as a visual aide in reminding yourself that you need to complete something on these line items. You can combine this with the Notes column to enter in notes for yourself regarding what you need to do with the line item. This is a very useful productivity tool! This enables you to choose to write the products into the opportunity at each save. Sometimes you are in the initial stage of quoting and do not have a complete list of products, so rather wait until you are ready to upload the opportunity products. Additionally this speeds up the save process. This option will only appear if the "Write Products into Opportunity" option on the Setup window is checked.

 128. For salesforce.com users, you can now populate the salesforce.com opportunity with the Alternate Currency amount from the quote. This is activated with the site.ini setting, under the [Contact Managers] section, with the key SFOppPricingUseAlternateCurrency=-1.

 139. Effective March 11th, 2016 SYNNEX now requires all xml queries to be sent using the TLS 1.1 protocol. QuoteWerks now supports this. The TLS 1.1 protocol is not available on Windows XP machines, so any users that wish to use QuoteWerks (or any other software) to interact with SYNNEX XML services will need to be running the software on Windows Vista or higher. Additionally TLS 1.1 requires that the Microsoft .NET framework version 4.5 be installed and Internet Explorer (IE) 11 or higher needs to be installed. In Microsoft IE, TLS 1.1 must be enabled. To enable, click on the Gear/Settings button in IE and select Internet Options from the menu. Go to the Advanced tab, and under the Security section, make sure that TLS v1.1 is checked.

The addresses include the Soldto, ShipTo, BillTo, and Sales Rep location.

 142. For Ingram Micro online ordering, re-designed the way addresses are selected for the ShipTo, EndUser, and Reseller fields on the order form. Especially when the items in the online order are from multiple orders, you will now be able to select any of the addresses from any of the orders related to these items. The addresses include the Soldto, ShipTo, BillTo, and Sales Rep location.

 143. For D&H online ordering, re-designed the way addresses are selected for the ShipTo fields on the order form. Especially when the items in the online order are from multiple orders, you will now be able to select any of the addresses from any of the orders related to these items. The addresses include the Soldto, ShipTo, BillTo, and Sales Rep location.

 144. For Dell online ordering, re-designed the way addresses are selected for the ShipTo and Billto fields on the order form. Especially when the items in the online order are from multiple orders, you will now be able to select any of the addresses from any of the orders related to these items. The addresses include the Soldto, ShipTo, BillTo, and Sales Rep location.

 145. When displaying payment options in the print output, there is now an option to not show the selection brackets like "[ ]" when there is only a single payment option. To activate this, in the site.ini under the [Defaults] section, add the key LeasingPaymentOptionPrefixHideIfSingleOption=-1.

 146. For QuickBooks users, the time it takes to load the Setup window has been reduced dramatically.

 147. When a line item is already highlighted in Yellow and you click on the button portion of the highlighting menu button (which normally causes the line to be highlighted yellow), it will remove the highlighting. Essentially, pressing this button repeatedly will toggle the line item highlight between yellow and no highlight.

 148. The CTRL-` key combination will now cycle between tabs on the Quote WorkBook. The CTRL-TAB key combination already cycles between currently open Quote WorkBooks.

 149. The Edit->Insert Heading now has a CTRL-H keyboard shortcut.

 150. While using the Zoom Description Window, you can now use the CTRL-A Keyboard combination to select all text in the Zoom Text.

 152. Tech Data Belgium Real-time Pricing & Availability is now supported!

 153. For Ingram Micro online ordering users, if you are placing a Dtype order specifying End User information, you no longer have to remember to set the ShipVia to Other. Behind the scenes, it will ignore the ShipVia selection and set it to Other internally since that is what is required by Ingram for a Dtype order.

 154. ConnectWise 2016.2 is now supported!

 155. ConnectWise 2016.3 is now supported!

Version 5.1 Build 2 (released December 15, 2015)

 156. SugarCRM 7.6 is now supported!

 157. Windows 10 supported since April 2015.

 158. SalesLogix 8.2 is now supported!

 159. Goldmine 2015.2 is now supported!

 160. There are now options of "Default Primary Layout Filter to 'All'" and "Default Additional Primary Layout Filter to 'All'" on the Misc tab of the User Preferences menu. Normally when a QUOTE document is printed, the filter button will default to QUOTE type layouts. These settings override this standard behavior.

 161. There is now a column displaying Internal Notes for Bundles and Configurations on the Bundles and Configurations windows respectively.

 162. QuoteValet Auto-Reminders! How much time do you spend following up with customers reminding them that their quotes are about to expire, or resending quotes to them because you know they have not even viewed them yet, or reminding them that they accepted the quote, but have not paid yet? QuoteValet can now do that all automatically for you! You can set the defaults for these options on the Notifications tab of the QuoteValet Setup window. While the defaults will be applied to all quotes uploaded to QuoteValet, you can also control these reminders at the individual quote level through the [Reminder options] button on the Upload To QuoteValet window. As usual all of these email notification templates are editable for you to customize! Here is a complete list of QuoteValet Auto-Reminder email options: Remind Recipient if document NOT VIEWED within x days. Remind Recipient when document is EXPIRING in x days. Remind Recipient when document is accepted but NOT PAID after x days. Remind SalesRep if document NOT VIEWED within x days. Remind SalesRep when document is EXPIRING in x days. Remind SalesRep when document is accepted but NOT PAID after x days.

 163. For QuoteValet users, the SalesRep is notified by email the FIRST time a customer views the quote since it was uploaded to QuoteValet. There is now an option to have QuoteValet notify the Sales Rep by email EVERY time the customer views the quote. Contact support to request that option be activated. Posted live Dec-4-2015 10:00am.

 164. For Autotask users, you can now create a new Autotask Company and Contact record from the QuoteWerks SoldTo/ShipTo tab using the information already entered on the SoldTo/ShipTo tab. For the feature to be enabled, the SoldTo field cannot already be populated with a contact that was retrieved from Autotask. Also, the Company field, Contact field, and Phone field must also be populated. This feature is available on the toolbar above the SoldTo, ShipTo, and BillTo areas of the Quote WorkBook. There is also an Access Right "CannotCreateCRMContact" that you can set if you do not want specific users to be able to use this feature.

 165. For Autotask users, when saving the Quote, you have the ability to create a new Account To-Do. The To-Do can be linked to the Autotask Account, Contact, and/or Opportunity. When saving an existing Quote in QuoteWerks you have the option to up update the existing Account To-Do that was created by QuoteWerks. Autotask Account To-Dos are a great way to set a reminder about the quote you are working on such as a follow-up call.

 166. For Autotask users, if QuoteWerks creates an Account To-Do when saving the quote, an auto-link will be generated for you on the Links Tab. Clicking on this auto-link will launch the Autotask Account To-Do in a browser.

 167. For Autotask users, there is now a new DataLink option for Account->&AccountManager. This macro will retrieve the Account Manager's name for the specified contact into the designated field. Previously, you could only retrieve the OwnerResourceID field which was a numeric record id for the Account Manager.

 168. The new Salesforce.com integration re-written to use newer SOAP API introduced in QuoteWerks version 5.1 Build 1 now integrates with non-Enterprise editions of salesforce.com without requiring the salesforce.com API module.

 169. On the Purchase Orders tab and Ordered Items tab of the Purchasing Window, the DocNo that the POItem is from is now displayed with the PO Item details.

 170. There are now 3 new options for merging PDF files on the Misc tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu. With the print engine redesign in version 5.1 all of the print elements like Literature, Spec Sheets, File Links, etc are combined into a single PDF file that also contains the quote. When emailing a quote, some users prefer to not combine the Literature, Spec Sheets, and File Links into the actual PDF file that contains the quote itself. We have added the following options to allow for this: "Merge Literature with primary quote PDF", "Merge Spec Sheets with primary quote PDF", "Merge File Link with primary quote PDF".

 171. The main toolbar New split-button now has menu items "New Quote", "New Order", "New Invoice".

 172. The main toolbar New split-button now has a Most Recently Used (MRU) menu on the recent templates you have used.

 173. Added new Misc Access rights "CannotCreateNewQuoteDocuments", "CannotCreateNewOrderDocuments", and "CannotCreateNewInvoiceDocuments". These rights do not have any affect on converting documents or duplicating documents. These rights are designed to stop a user from creating fresh empty documents.

 174. On the Search Fields tab of the Open Document window, under the Item drop down, you can now select PONumber and do a line item level search for a PONumber.

 175. Added Misc Access right "CannotModifyManagementReports". When this is set, on the Management Reports window, a user cannot click on the [Edit] button which prevents them from changing any aspects of the selected report.

 176. The DataLink can now be used to populate the SalesRep field.

 177. On the Open Document window, pressing ENTER while a record in the grid is selected will open the document.

 178. Multiple Monitor enhanced support. Changes have been made to better control which monitors windows appear on when they open. When the "Don't remember window location" option on the Misc tab under Tools->My Preferences is checked, window locations will not be remembered, so windows like the Product Lookup window will just open on the same monitor as the main QuoteWerks application. If this is unchecked then QuoteWerks will remember the last location you positioned the following QuoteWerks windows: Main window, Product Lookup, Configurator, Purchasing, QuoteValet Dashboard, Send Email, and Email Templates. QuoteWerks will position them in those locations the next time you open those windows. QuoteWerks already remembers window sizes and locations per each machine that you use to run QuoteWerks. Now it will also remember separate settings for when you are remoted (using RDP) into a machine running QuoteWerks, and even per which remote machine you are using. This is very useful since often when you remote in you only have access to one monitor, rather than your multiple monitors you have access to when sitting in front of your machine.

Version 5.1 Build 1 (released November 3, 2015)

 179. ACT! version 18 is now supported!

 180. ACT! for Web version 17 is now supported!

 181. QuickBooks 2016 is now supported!

 182. Sage 50 US Edition (Peachtree) 2016 is now supported!

 183. MS CRM v7.1 (2015 update 1) is now supported!

 184. ConnectWise 2015.5 is now supported!

 185. ConnectWise 2015.6 is now supported!

 186. Autosave feature. Autosave will save the quote to the database about every 2 minutes as triggered by activity. Since AutoSave is automatic and inline while you are composing your quote, AutoSave quickly saves the quote to the database, but does not save changes to the CRM or to QuoteValet since those take much longer. When you do a full save you will be prompted to update your CRM and QuoteValet. Also when a quote is closed that was only AutoSaved, you will be prompted to do a full save. If the currently open quote has never been saved you will be prompted to save the quote, after which auto-saves will then continue automatically without further input. AutoSave can be enabled per user by checking the "Enable AutoSave" checkbox on the Misc tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu.

 187. In June 2015 Google has discontinued the API QuoteWerks (and other apps) used to query Google contacts. Google contacts integration was re-written to use Google's new API.

 188. Salesforce.com integration re-written to use newer SOAP API. Now salesforce.com custom fields listed in the DataLink mappings will show the actual field names with the "__c" postfix rather than field ids. When this update is installed, it will require that you re-setup any DataLink mappings that mapped data to or from a salesforce.com custom field to use their new "__c" name.

 189. QuoteWerks now merges Microsoft Word Documents without automating Microsoft Word. As a result, Microsoft Word Merging no longer requires Microsoft Word to be installed or running on workstations. Additionally, instead of a merge taking 90 seconds when automating Word, the merge takes 5 seconds or less.

 190. The printing system has been completely revised. Fundamentally the change is that now all output creates a PDF file that is then previewed, printed, emailed, etc. These changes are required to accommodate the upcoming QuoteWerks Web offering. Additionally, all the individual components are now created as individual PDF files and then merged together. This approach allows for control of the order in which the individual print elements are assembled which now can be manually adjusted on the Print window. These changes will affect the ability to display the "Page X of Y" page totals. The "Page X" will still work, but since the individual print elements are individually created as separate PDF files and then later merged together, at the time of the creation of each individual print element the "of Y" component is unknown and therefore cannot be supplied. As a solution to this QuoteWerks will automatically write into the bottom right corner of each page of all the assembled PDF files the "page x of y" notation onto each page of all the assembled PDF files.

 191. On the Print window, the Layouts tab now has two subtabs "Primary" and "Additional". You can now select multiple print layouts and combine them together in whatever order you like resulting in a single output. Prior to this feature you could only select one layout that output all the line items. With this new functionality, for example, you can create an output that prints all the line items, and then another layout that just prints the summary of the sections based on item type. You can select a single layout on the "Primary" subtab, and you can select multiple layouts on the "Additional" subtab.

 192. If a Word documents is selected from the File Links tab during the print selections process, that file is now merged and converted to PDF format and included in the Single PDF output file. Previously, when a word document was selected from the Links tab on the Print window and the option to email was selected, the word document would just be included in the email as an attachment.

 193. Word documents can now be used as Spec Sheet documents.

 194. Word documents can now be used as Literature documents.

 195. Word documents can now be used as CoverPage documents.

 196. PNG images can now be inserted into the Print Layouts.

 197. On the Print window, on the "Primary" and "Additional" subtabs of the Layout tab, there is now a "Filter by" section that enables you to quickly filter the type of print layouts displayed in the list. The filters are All/Quote/Order/Sales Order/Purchase Order.

 198. PNG and JPG files are compressed image files. When they are embedded into the layout's FPC file, they were stored in an uncompressed MUCH larger size. Now they are stored in the FPC file in their smaller compressed size.

 199. The Preview window now has [Find] and [Find Next] buttons.

 200. The Preview window now has [Zoom in] and [Zoom out] buttons.

 201. On the Reports window, there is now a [Save as PDF] button to enable you to run and save the report directly to a PDF file.

 202. The Misc Access right "CannotDisplayAllLayouts" has been renamed to "CannotUsePrintLayoutTypeDifferentThanDocType".

 203. Added the new Misc Access rights "CannotUseOrderPrintLayout", "CannotUseInvoicePrintLayout", "CannotUseSOPrintLayout", and "CannotUsePOPrintLayout". These can be used to control if these types of print layouts appear on the Layouts tab of the Print window.

 204. Per each user, you can now set a default Cover Page. You do this by clicking on the black star icon on the Cover Page tab of the Print window. This will set the default for the logged in user for the type of document that is currently open like QUOTE, ORDER, or INVOICE. You can set a default cover page individually for each of the 3 doc types.

 205. Per each user, you can now set a default Print Layout. You do this by right clicking a Print Layout or Word Document on the "Primary" subtab of the Layouts tab of the Print window. This will set the default for the logged in user for the type of document that is currently open like QUOTE, ORDER, or INVOICE. You can set a default Print Layout individually for each of the 3 doc types.

 206. The [New] toolbar button on the main window, now has a split-button menu option for 'New from Template'.

 207. For Product Content Subscribers, when using the Etilize Panel on the Quote Workbook to change the Vendor Cost of an existing line on the quote and the Price for the line is calculated using a price modifier, the Adjust Price window will now appear. This enables you to decide how to handle the cost change like "Keep the original price and clear Price Modifier", "Keep the original Price Modifier", "Keep original price and re-calculate closest Price Modifier", or "Manually adjust the Price Modifier".

 208. Added a Edit->Add Formula menu to make it easier to add Product/Service type line item using a formula to calculate the price for it. You still use the "Edit->Product/Service formula..." menu to edit the formula.

 209. The Summary Line now has some additional features. When a Percent Discount line item is directly below the Summary Line, and the Summary line is summing the ExtendedPrice field, if the TaxCode for the discount line is set to a taxable code, the discount amount will also lower the appropriate amount of sales tax.

 210. On the Edit Product window, the F2Lookup is now supported for the Internal Part Number field.

 211. For Autotask users, when QuoteWerks creates items on an Autotask quote, QuoteWerks can now create Autotask Service Items in addition to Autotask Product and Autotask Cost Items.

 212. For the feature where QuoteWerks automatically writes the "page x of y" notation onto the bottom right of each page of all the assembled PDF files, you can now control the "page x of y text" by setting the ini key "PageCountPhraseMacro=%x% of %y%" under the [Defaults] section of the site.ini file. Also, you can disable this phrase from being written at all by setting the ini key "DisablePageCountPhraseMacro=-1" under the [Defaults] section of the site.ini file.

 213. When a document requires an approval before an action can be performed, there is now a new Misc Access security right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanOverrideApprovalRequirement" that can be assigned to any users that you want to give the authority to be able to override the required approval.

 214. For MS CRM users, you can now create a new MS CRM Company record from the QuoteWerks SoldTo/ShipTo tab using the information already entered on the SoldTo/ShipTo tab. For the feature to be enabled, the SoldTo field cannot already be populated with a contact that was retrieved from MS CRM. Also, the Company field and Contact field must both be populated. This feature is available on the toolbar above the SoldTo, ShipTo, and BillTo areas of the Quote WorkBook. There is also an Access Right "CannotCreateCRMContact" that you can set if you do not want specific users to be able to use this feature.

 215. For Corporate Edition users, you can now create custom menu items under Tools->Customize Menus that run VBS VBScript files. This enables you to write code to perform actions on the currently open quote when selecting custom menu options. For example, you can create a new Edit->Round Prices by ItemType menu and then have it run VBScript code in the specified file which will perform that action. You can create many different custom menus to perform unique different actions on the quote based on your needs rather than the same script running every time for every quote (like the Event driven scripting). In the script you will have access to the API Application object and other objects. For a complete list of available objects, please see the QuoteWerks API SDK. Additionally, We offer professional services to assist in the writing of these scripts.

 216. You can now edit a Serial Number on the Purchase Orders or Ordered Items tab of the Purchasing window. To edit the Serial Number, hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the Serial Number hyperlink.

 217. You can now edit a tracking number on the Purchase Orders or Ordered Items tab of the Purchasing window. To edit the tracking number, hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the tracking number hyperlink.

 218. The Optional Items window now displays the Quantity of the optional item in a column.

 219. The Required Items window now displays the Quantity of the required item in a column.

 220. On the PO Items list on Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Change ShipVia..." right click menu. This is useful for changing this if the user made a mistake on a manual PO when initially specifying the ShipVia. This is also useful for specifying the ShipVia for electronically placed orders for situations when the PO item is being drop shipped directly by the manufacturer since you usually do not receive that information back from the distributor. Currently the only ShipVia options are "UPS Ground,FedEx Ground,FedEx Standard Overnight" since those are the ShipVia values that QuoteWerks generates shipping tracking URLs for.

 221. On the Purchase Orders list on the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "E-mail PO..." right click menu. This will generate an HTML formatted Purchase Order and pre-fill the Send Email window with it. You can use this to email purchase orders to your vendors. The html format of the PO is not editable at this time.

 222. On the Purchase Orders list on the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Save PO as PDF..." right click menu. This uses the same non-editable format as the html PO.

 223. On the Purchasing tab of the Purchasing window when you use the [Create PO] button to create a manual PO, you can now enter ship to location details in the new Purchase Order.

 224. On the Purchasing window, when entering tracking numbers manually, USPS is now available as a Carrier selection. You can also click on that tracking number and it will display the tracking information on the USPS (US Postal Service) website.

 225. On the Purchase Orders list on the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window the "Edit PO..." right click menu now enables you to edit ShipTo information if the Purchase Order was a manually created Purchase Order.

 226. There is now a Site-wide setting to exclude up to four ItemTypes from being displayed on the Purchasing tab of the Purchasing window. This feature is used to exclude items that you do not need to create purchase orders for such as labor or items from your own inventory. These exclusions can be setup on the Accounting tab of the Tools->Options menu.

 227. On the Purchase Orders list on the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Disable Real-time Status Updates..." right click menu available for Purchase Orders that QuoteWerks placed electronically with Tech Data, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, or D&H. In certain cases you will want to start making manual changes to the status of the Purchase order. When you do that you can disable the real-time status updates so that it does not overwrite your changes. Once you have disabled the real-time status updates, you can manually enter tracking numbers, serial numbers, and receive the items manually. Once real-time status updates have been disabled, an "E*" indicator will be displayed next to the order date instead of the regular "E" for electronic order.

 228. On the PO Items list on Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Remove FulfillmentItem record (Override)..." right click menu. This is useful in accommodating distributor changes that happen to orders. For example, if you place an order for 4 hard drives and Tech Data initially returns an order status saying that all 4 will ship together from a single warehouse, QuoteWerks would create that record. However, if a day later, you receive a new order status saying that the 4 drives will ship from 3 different warehouses, you can use this feature to remove the single FulfillmentItem record that contained 4 items, then you can get another order status update and this time QuoteWerks will be updated with the 3 separate FulfillmentItem records from each warehouse that will fulfill the 4 items total.

 229. On the PO Items list on Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Mark as Shipped (Override)..." right click menu. This is useful in accommodating distributor changes that happen to orders. For example, if you place an order for 1 hard drive from D&H and D&H initially returns an order status saying that the hard drive will be backordered, QuoteWerks will record this. Then a day later D&H modifies the PO to create a new sales order for the same item, but this time ordering it direct from Lenovo, this now creates duplicate records for the same order. In this case you will want to use the other new feature "Remove FulfillmentItem record (Override)..." to remove the record for the backordered item that will never ship. Then you will want to use this new "Mark as Shipped (Override)..." feature to flag the direct shipped hard drive as shipped since D&H will not be returning status updates of when vendor drop shipped item is shipped. This feature will then change the QuoteWerks FulfillmentItem record to indicate "Shipped" instead of "Open".

 230. On the Purchase Orders list on Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now an "Export..." right click menu if you are holding the SHIFT key when right clicking. This can be used to email QuoteWerks Technical Support an electronic purchase order for use in debugging issues.

 231. On the Purchase Orders list on Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a "Cancel PO..." right click menu. This is useful to indicate that an order has been canceled. This does not actually cancel an order with a distributor.

 232. Added new option in the Item Cost changed window of "Keep original price and clear Price Modifier". All the numbers now are formatted with currency and thousands separators. The first option has been renamed to "Attempt to keep the original price by re-calculating to closest Price Modifier". The text color of this first option will change the color red if the original price cannot be achieved using a Price Modifier.

 233. The Datalink feature now enables you to configure mappings when retrieving Ship To and Bill To Contacts from your contact manager. Previously, you were limited to only when retrieving the Sold To Contact. This feature is useful if you store Tax Rate information in your CRM under ship to contacts vs your SoldTo contacts as it can now be retrieved when your Ship To contact is added to the QuoteWerks document. This new mapping can be used in so many ways including copying and information from ShipTo or BillTo contact fields in your CRM into a CustomText field in QuoteWerks, effectively filling out numerous fields in the quote with the successive selection of SoldTo, ShipTo, and BillTo contacts.

 234. Added F2Lookup support for the Ship From postal code on the Real-time shipping estimate window. Useful to enter in common Ship From postal codes like the postal codes of each of the warehouses of your distributors. useful in creating shipping cost estimates that your distributors may charge you.

 235. For Product Content Subscribers, there is a [Remove 0 Availability] button on the Etilize Product Comparison window. After retrieving Pricing and Availability from your distributors, click on this button to remove all results in the Product Comparison that do not availability from at least one of the distributors found by Etilize and the PartLocator. While this feature is very useful, it is important to note, that some distributors will show 0 physical warehouse availability, but would be able to drop ship direct from the manufacturer.

 236. For Product Content Subscribers, there is a [Remove 0 Cost] button on the Etilize Product Comparison window. After retrieving Pricing and Availability from your distributors, click on this button to remove all results in the Product Comparison that do not have a Cost > 0 from at least one of the distributors found by Etilize and the PartLocator. This will also remove items that are not available from at least one distributor. If real-time Pricing and Availability is requested from a distributor and the results return that the distributor does not carry the item or you are not authorized to sell the item, QuoteWerks will show the result with a 0.00 cost. Using this feature you can de-clutter and remove lots of results that are non-useable from your search results.

 237. Outlook 2016 is now supported!

 238. The QuoteValet Dashboard and the QuoteValet Web dashboard now indicate when a quote is "LOST" or "Open (EXPIRED)"

 239. For QuoteValet users, When you Convert a Quote to Lost, there is now an option to recall the quote if it was uploaded to QuoteValet.

 240. For Quotevalet users, if a quote that was uploaded to QuoteValet is converted to Lost, then if the customer views the quote using the old QuoteValet link the customer will not be able to accept the quote and they will see a message indicated that an updated quote is required.

 241. The installation and updating process is 50% faster in most cases.

Version 5.0 Build 4 (released July 9, 2015)

 242. MS CRM 2015 (v7.0) is now supported!

 243. ConnectWise 2015.3 is now supported!

 244. The Etilize search capabilities have been significantly improved. After doing the initial search, you can now drill down by selecting Category, Manufacturer, and Product Feature attributes to narrow down the results of your search. For example, when searching for a laptop, you can narrow the Etilize results by selecting the screen size, RAM, Hard Drive size, etc.

 245. The Etilize panel now processes Pricing & Availability requests simultaneously resulting in massive speed increases. Previously, if you had accounts with Tech Data, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and D & H, QuoteWerks would request real-time Pricing and Availability for each sequentially. Each real-time request takes between 1 and 5 seconds depending on the distributor and the time of day, so for 4 distributors, it would take up to 20 seconds to obtain pricing for all of the distributors of an item. With the new parallel processing, QuoteWerks requests real-time Pricing and Availability from all of the distributors for an item at the same time. This process only takes as long as the slowest distributor response time. In this scenario, this new feature could save you 15 seconds or more just on a single item!

 246. The Etilize panel now has a Similar Items tab. This will contain a list of products that are similar in feature set to the product you are looking at. This is particularly useful when the item you searched for is not in stock, you can use this to find a similar product that is in stock. This also provides you with an easy way to see a list of products to Cross-Sell.

 247. The Etilize panel now has an Upsell items tab. This will contain a list of products would be an up sell to the selected product using Etilize's advanced suggested selling engine. These products will be better products with more features and usually sold for a higher price. Also on the Compare window is a [Add PDF to Links Tab] button which will create a PDF file of the Product Feature comparison table (not including pricing) and add it to the Links tab. As with the Etilize Spec Sheet PDF, this PDF obeys the option to not include the ManufacturerPartNumber if that option is set.

 382. On the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing Window, there is now a PO Item right click menu of "Mark ItemReceipt As Exported to Accounting...". If you have already received the item in QuickBooks directly, then choose this option to let QuoteWerks know so that it does not try to Receive against that PO item in QuickBooks when doing the ItemReceipt synchronization.

 383. For QuickBooks ItemReceipt users, there is now a feature so that when you first activate this feature, it will prompt you to mark Items Received in QuoteWerks prior to the feature activation as already exported to QuickBooks. This happens when the "Sync Received Items to QuickBooks" option is checked on the QuickBooks setup screen. If it is already checked, then uncheck it, save, then go back into setup and check it and then click [Ok].

 384. When selecting File->Duplicate, the OrderDate column is now cleared if the option "Remove Line Item SONumber, PONumber, and OrderDate" is selected.

 385. For API users, added new Application.DoAction actions of "CallMenuProductsLookup", "CallMenuFilePrint", "CallMenuEditPasteSpecial"

 386. Added support for <> macro in the Word merging.

 387. Sage 50 US Edition (Peachtree) 2015 is now supported!

 388. For salesforce.com users, when testing the credentials from the Contacts->Setup Contact Manager window, the success message will now display what salesforce.com instance you are connecting to. For example "na3.salesforce.com".

Version 4.9 Build 7 (released May 8, 2014)

 389. ConnectWise 2014.3 is now supported!

 390. SugarCRM 7.0 and 7.1 are now supported!

 391. For SugarCRM Enterprise 7.0 and higher users, Opportunity Revenue Line Items are now supported in SugarCRM opportunities.

 392. GoldMine 2014.1 is now supported!

 393. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for ScanSource. We've negotiated an arrangement with ScanSource to host their parts list to provide our mutual customers with a better ability to locate ScanSource part numbers when quoting. This catalog includes the parts from all divisions of ScanSource.

 394. For salesforce.com users, there is an option for writing product details into the salesforce.com opportunity. If the products do not exist in salesforce.com there is an option to create them. There is also an option for Grouped Bundles to only send over the Grouped Bundle header line instead of the individual products. A default Price Book can be set for the salesforce.com opportunities QuoteWerks creates. This opportunity products integration also supports the CRM Product ID partnumber generation feature. To activate this functionality, choose the Contacts->Setup Contact Manager menu, choose salesforce.com, click [Setup], and then check the option to write details.

 395. The DataLink feature has been vastly improved. For salesforce.com users, you can configure the DataLink to copy information from QuoteWerks into salesforce.com opportunity fields when QuoteWerks creates or updates a salesforce.com opportunity. This can be done on the opportunity level with the EventAction of "CRMOppHeader_CreateUpdate". Information can also be copied at the line item level when QuoteWerks is creating/updating salesforce.com opportunity product items using the EventAction of "CRMOppItem_CreateUpdate". The DataLink is bi-directional so after the Opportunity is created/updated in salesforce.com you can setup a DataLink mapping to copy information from the salesforce.com opportunity back into the QuoteWerks quote. This can be done at the opportunity level and also the opportunity product items level enabling you to update QuoteWerks line item columns with information from the salesforce.com opportunity or opportunity product items.

 396. Added new 'Tip of the Day' wizard. Help->Tip of the Day menu has options to copy the tip to the clipboard and bookmark your favorite tips. You can hold SHIFT and click [Next] or [Previous] to cycle through bookmarked tips.

 397. Added new Tools->Refresh item Details menu. With this you can refresh line item information by re-retrieving field information from the product data source that the item is associated with. The ManufacturerPartNumber field will be used to lookup the product in the product database indicated in the Vendor field. The feature supports multiple-selections enabling you to update multiple line items at the same time. The Refresh item Details window enables you to choose which individual fields you would like to refresh and will remember your selections when updating multiple line items at the same time. The refreshing obeys the same Tools->Options Field Links tab settings use when adding items to the quote. There is also toolbar button above the grid for this Refresh item Details feature.

 398. For ConnectWise users, you can now create a new ConnectWise Company record from the QuoteWerks SoldTo/ShipTo tab. For the feature to be enabled, the SoldTo field cannot already be populated with a contact that was retrieved from ConnectWise.

 399. For Peachtree users, on the Defaults tab of the Peachtree setup, you can now choose to not set accounts for new item defaults.

 400. For Peachtree users, on the Create Peachtree Item window, you can now choose "Cost of Sales" type accounts for the Salary/Wages Account" for "Non-stock item" items.

 401. For Tech Data online ordering users, there is now options to choose the payment method for the order as Terms, your Flooring Account, or your credit card on file with Tech Data.

 402. For Online ordering users, the Special Instructions field for Tech Data, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and D&H now support the F2Lookup feature. Just press the F2 key or double-click in the field to bring up a list of selections for the field.

 403. Added options "Don't Unlock/Rescind Approval when converting to Order" and "Don't Unlock/Rescind Approval when converting to Invoice" on the Installation tab under the Tools->Options menu.

 404. For ConnectWise users, on the Products.Bundles tab of the ConnectWise Setup, there are new options on how to handle QuoteWerks Recurring Groups when sending them over to a ConnectWise Opportunity. The new options are a) "Represent Grouped Bundles (Recurring) as", b) "ConnectWise Bundle product ID (recurring):", c) "Grouped Bundle Header Line (Recurring) Item Type".

 405. For Product Content Subscribers, the QuoteWerks Tax Code can now be mapped to an Etilize Category Name. If no Tax Code is mapped, the default tax code set on the Document Items Tab of the Tools->Options Menu will be used. As an example, this allows you to setup automatic mappings to tax hardware and not tax software renewals.

 406. For Product Content Subscribers in North America, there is now an option to select the Etilize Language of English, French, or Spanish. Etilize populates all of their products with English descriptions and a subset in French and Spanish. The catalog size for non-English Languages are not as large and you will have limited results.

 407. On the Purchasing window, the tracking number feature to track the shipments on the Shipping Carriers website now supports shipping carrier services of "FedEx Priority Overnight" and "FEDEX 1DAYPM".

Version 4.9 Build 4 (released February 25, 2014)

 408. ConnectWise 2014.2 is now supported.

 409. ConnectWise 2014.1 is now supported.

 410. ConnectWise 2013.4 is now supported.

 411. SalesLogix 8.1 is now supported!

 412. SalesLogix 8.0 is now supported!

 413. For UK users, the QuoteWerks Product Content subscription (powered by Etilize) now supports Accessories for the UK. Subscribers in the USA and Canada already have this feature. Including these manufacturer suggested accessories on your quotes is an easy way to up-sell options and a great way to generate more revenue.

 414. For QuoteValet users, the payment gateway of FirstData e4 is now supported!

 415. QuoteWerks user manual is now an HTML based help system!

 416. For ConnectWise users, ConnectWise Bundles are now supported in ConnectWise Opportunities. When creating/updating a ConnectWise Opportunity QuoteWerks "Grouped Bundles" are now created in the ConnectWise Opportunity as Bundles (under the Forecast tab). With this new support, in the ConnectWise Opportunity you will see the bundle header and the corresponding products that make up that bundle. This replaces the functionality where the bundled items were de-bundled and only sent over to the ConnectWise Opportunity as individual product line items with no bundle grouping at all. With this set of changes, we still retain the option "only create a single summary product in ConnectWise (not the individual group items)" for any customers that prefer this. The QuoteWerks bundle item attributes of HidePrice and HideQuantity are transferred over to the ConnectWise Opportunity bundle. When QuoteWerks creates the ConnectWise bundle in the ConnectWise Opportunity, for the ConnectWise Bundle Product ID it will use the Product ID specified in the setup field 'ConnectWise Bundle Product ID' on the Products.Bundles tab of the ConnectWise setup window. If the Group Header line item in QuoteWerks has a value entered in the field that is mapped to the ConnectWise Product ID then QuoteWerks will attempt to use that Product ID as the ConnectWise Opportunity Bundle line Product ID. If the Product ID does not exist in ConnectWise, QuoteWerks will create it. When Bundle Products are created in ConnectWise, all applicable standard product mappings like Product Type, Category/SubCategory and Unit of Measure are applied when creating the new Bundle Product.

 417. For ConnectWise users, when sending over grouped bundles to ConnectWise Opportunities as ConnectWise bundles you can now control if the bundle product in the ConnectWise Opportunity should create a Project phase when the Opportunity is converted to a Project from within ConnectWise. You can map the IsProjectPhase setting on the Products.Bundles tab under the ConnectWise Setup.

 418. For ConnectWise users, added an option "Enable multiple Quotes per Opportunity" so this behavior can be controlled. For new installations, this option is disabled by default. If enabled, this option to associate multiple quotes with a single ConnectWise opportunity is an older behavior that is no longer supported. This option is only here for existing ConnectWise users that are still relying on this behavior. For all others, this should not be checked as ConnectWise itself does not support having multiple quotes per single opportunity.

 419. For ConnectWise users, the ConnectWise Category/Subcategory mappings can be used to determine the QuoteWerks Item type when retrieving items from the ConnectWise Product database. Prior to this change, only the ConnectWise Product Type could be used to map to the QuoteWerks Item Type. Which of these two sets of mappings that controls which set of mappings are used is located on the Products.Product List tab of the ConnectWise Setup window.

 420. For Autotask users, you can now specify a default tax code when using Autotask Products and Autotask Services as Product Sources. This was already available for Autotask Labor items.

 421. The Promo End date for any Tech Data promo price will now be displayed on the Etilize panel.

 422. For ConnectWise users, when composing an email in QuoteWerks, you can can now select the email addresses belonging to any contact that is associated with the ConnectWise company selected as the Sold To.

 423. For ConnectWise users, when composing an email in QuoteWerks, you can now search the entire list of ConnectWise contacts for additional email recipients. The fields that can be searched by are: CompanyName, FirstName, LastName, Phone, email.

 424. For ConnectWise Users, when pulling in Company->TaxRate via the DataLink, if no TaxCode is defined on the selected ConnectWise Site then the TaxCode specified on the Company Finance record will be used.

 425. When creating products in ConnectWise, QuoteWerks now sets the ConnectWise Product's "Serialized" checkbox based on the ItemType mapping. These mappings can be setup on the Opportunities.Products.Serialized tab of the ConnectWise Setup window. The ConnectWise serialized features only work when you have the appropriate ConnectWise inventory module.

 426. There is now a Purchase Order Integration option to set under the Tools->Options menu. This same selection is in the setup wizard and is also on the Settings tab of the ConnectWise setup window, QuickBooks setup window and Peachtree setup window. So now you choose which accounting you are integrating with rather than QuoteWerks giving you options and asking every time which accounting you want to export purchase orders too. On the Purchasing window, there are now only two action buttons. The first action button is one to create a Purchase Order in QuoteWerks and optionally exports the purchase order to your designated accounting software. The second action button first creates an online order and then creates a Purchase Order in QuoteWerks and optionally exports the purchase order to your designated accounting software.

 427. Purchase Orders can now be created in QuoteWerks that are not electronic orders. Manually created QuoteWerks Purchase Orders behave much the same as the Purchase Orders created to track electronic orders, with the major difference being that the manually created Purchase Orders are not updated automatically with realtime shipping tracking and serial number information. That information, however, can be manually entered into the manually created Purchase Orders. Manually created Purchase Orders are created in the same area as the electronic purchase orders on the Purchasing tab of the Purchasing window. This feature requires (Corporate Edition) or (Professional Edition + Realtime module).

 428. Purchasing Receiving functionality has been improved to include basic inventory management. Now when you order a quantity of 5 of an item instead of having a single ReceivedOn date, you can now receive each individual item at different times and fully record the date/time as each item is received. When receiving items you can now select or enter the serial number of the item you are receiving and at the same time you can specify a storage location, Asset Tag, and MACAddress for the item. The Purchase Orders tab will also now display a POFulfillmentStatus column showing "Not Received","Partial Received", or "Fully Received".

 429. Purchase Order numbering sequence. There is now a purchase order unique numbering sequence that you can now use in the PONumber field when creating a new manual purchase order or a new electronic order. This field also supports the F2 key while will display the F2Lookup list which can lookup a PO number from an external source. The PO number will be formatted, for example, like 14-1001TD. The "14" indicates the year of 2014. The "1001" is the unique numeric sequence. The "TD" is an identifier to indicate that the purchase order was for Tech Data. You can choose to have a vendor this vendor identifier or not. Under the Utilities->Vendor Maintenance when editing a vendor you can specify it in the "Vendor PO Prefix" field. It can be a maximum of 3 characters. If QuoteWerks is configured to export purchase orders to QuickBooks, Peachtree, or ConnectWise, this same PO number will be used when creating the purchase order in the accounting software. You will want to reset the unique numeric sequence each year and this can be done on the Installation tab of the Tools->Options menu. The short nature of the PO number format takes into accounts QuickBooks very small 11 character max po number and Ingram Micro being the next at 18 characters.

 430. When creating purchase orders there is now a RefID field. This field will be displayed in the Purchase Orders list and can be filtered on. The best use for this field is to enter something like a job# or ticket# and is used to group purchase orders together. You might create 5 purchase orders to purchase all the products required for the job and by entering the same job# for each PO you can easily group and display them together on the purchase orders tab. Filtering on the job while on the Purchase Orders tab will show you the 5 purchase orders and you can get an overall view of if most of the items have been shipped and received. Filtering on the job while on the Ordered Items tab will show you a complete list of all the items ordered across all 5 purchase orders and show their status in terms of have they shipped, been received, and what the serial numbers are. On this tab, once you see you have received all the items, you can then schedule the job to deliver the items to the customer.

 431. You can now manually add tracking numbers and serial numbers to electronic orders. This is useful because the distributors don't always send complete information. There is also a Copy option to copy tracking numbers and serial numbers into the Windows clipboard.

 432. For QuickBooks users, there is now a "PO Numbering" option on the Transaction.QuickBooks tab of the QuickBooks Setup Window. Here, you can choose "Use QuickBooks Auto-numbering" or "Use QuoteWerks PO Number." When creating a manual PO in QuoteWerks and you've configured QuoteWerks to use QuickBooks for purchase orders, you'll be able to enter a blank PO number on the Create Purchase Order window. This will create the PO in QuickBooks using the next available QuickBooks PO number. That QuickBooks PO number will be used to update the QuoteWerks PONumber for the QuoteWerks purchase order, which you'll see under the Purchase Orders tab. When creating electronic POs, electronic orders require a PO number at the time you're placing the order, so you can't use the next available QuickBooks PO number here. Instead, you can use the next available QuoteWerks PO Number to submit the order to the distributor, then the QuoteWerks purchase order will use that PO number. If you have the PO Numbering option set to "Use QuickBooks Auto-numbering", then when you export the Purchase Order to QuickBooks, it will send a blank PO number to QuickBooks which will cause QuickBooks to use the next available PO number in QuickBooks. This new QuickBooks PO number will then be written into the QuoteWerks PO description field (for example, "[QBPO# 1001]").

 433. On the Purchase Orders and OrderedItems tab of the Purchasing window, the Items now sort by ShippedOn,EstimatedShipDate

 434. On the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a right-click menu of "Edit PO". This will let you change the RefID and Description on the purchase order.

 435. On the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window you can now filter by PONumber.

 436. On the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window there is now a right-click menu of "Close PO". Once all the items on the PO have been received and possibly after the job has been completed and billed you can use this feature to flag the PO as "closed" so that it no longer appears in the Purchase Order window. There is an accompanying checkbox filter "Include Closed POs" on both the "Purchase Orders" and "Ordered Items" tab that you can use if you want to retrieve an older closed PO.

 437. On the Purchasing window under the Purchasing tab, added a [Clear] button and a [Refresh] button.

 438. For ConnectWise users, when QuoteWerks creates/updates a ConnectWise Opportunity and is setup to write line items to the ConnectWise Opportunity the CRMProductID auto-generation feature is now supported. This can be setup on the Products.Mappings tab of the ConnectWise Setup window from the Contacts->Setup Contact manager menu.

 439. For ACT! users, when QuoteWerks creates/updates an ACT Opportunity and is setup to write line items to the ACT Opportunity the CRMProductID auto-generation feature is now supported. This can be setup on the ACT Opportunity Setup window from the Contacts->Setup Contact manager menu, choose [Opportunity Setup] button.

 440. For ACT! for Web users, when QuoteWerks creates/updates an ACT! for Web Opportunity and is setup to write line items to the ACT! for Web Opportunity the CRMProductID auto-generation feature is now supported. This can be setup on the ACT For Web Opportunity Setup window from the Contacts->Setup Contact manager menu, choose [Opportunity Setup] button.

 441. For Microsoft Dynamics CRM (MS CRM) users, when QuoteWerks creates/updates a MS CRM Opportunity and is setup to write line items to the MS CRM Opportunity the CRMProductID auto-generation feature is now supported. This can be setup on the MSCRM Opportunity Setup window from the Contacts->Setup Contact manager menu, choose [MS CRM Setup] button.

 442. CRMProductID Auto-Generation feature. In the simplest scenario you can setup the link to just use a QuoteWerks part number like the Manufacturer field as the CRM Opportunity CRMProductID. As a starting point the value from a specified field like the QuoteWerks ManufacturerPartNumber field is used. The auto-generation feature will allow for more than this when the InternalPartNumber or any CustomTextxx field is selected as the mapped field. This new auto-generation feature will allow for many scenarios of use, including the ability to maintain your own proprietary part numbers in CRM Opportunity. If the CRM integration supports using CRM Products as a product data source link, you can even use the Etilize functionality in combination with your own proprietary parts in CRM Opportunity. There are 3 auto-generation options. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to CRM Opportunity, if the mapped field is empty, this will stop and force you to specify your proprietary part number. If you pulled the part from CRM Opportunity, it will already have your proprietary part number from CRM Opportunity. This is useful when you have custom part numbers that are not based on any field or combination of fields. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to CRM Opportunity, if the mapped field is empty, then you will be forced to manually specify an CRMProductID before proceeding. This is used when using your own proprietary part numbers. With "Auto-generate using macro:", when exporting items to CRM Opportunity, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the CRM Opportunity CRMProductID, you can choose to have the CRM Opportunity CRMProductID auto-generated using a macro like &DI_ItemType:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber. With "Auto-generate using macro based on ItemType:", when exporting items to CRM Opportunity, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the CRM Opportunity CRMProductID, you can choose to have the CRM Opportunity CRMProductID auto-generated based on the ItemType of the Item. So, for example if the ItemType is "Haas", then you can map to an auto-generation macro of "Haas:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber, but if the ItemType is "Hardware" then you can map to an auto-generation macro of just "&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber". You can also set a value for "If any ItemTypes are not mapped use the following macro:".

 443. On the Purchase Orders and Ordered Items tabs of the Purchasing window, you can now enter comments for each PO item. This is really useful for entering notes on PO items such as updated product backorder ETA dates and other notes critical to the status and fulfillment of those items.

 444. For electronic orders the Flooring account is now stored in the QuoteWerks purchase order and displayed on the Purchase Orders tab. When flooring accounts are used in an Ingram Micro electronic order, the flooring account must be supplied in all order status requests and if not would receive an error that the order was not found.

 445. For QuickBooks users, ItemReceipt documents can now be created in QuickBooks. When receiving items in the QuoteWerks Purchasing window, the Receipt is recorded along with the serial number received. When you are finished receiving the items on the Purchasing window you can click the "Sync Received Items to QuickBooks" button. If QuoteWerks created the Purchase Order in QuickBooks for the items being received, then this will create "ItemReceipt without Bill" documents in QuickBooks, receiving the items against the QuickBooks Purchase order that QuoteWerks created in QuickBooks. It will also append the serial numbers to the end of the item descriptions on the ItemReceipt in QuickBooks. To enable the "Sync Received Items to QuickBooks" button you need to check the checkbox "Sync Received Items to QuickBooks" on the Transaction.QuickBooks tab of the QuickBooks setup window. Also on this window, the Purchase Order Integration must be set to QuickBooks. This feature requires (Corporate Edition) or (Professional Edition + Realtime module).

 446. You can now change the starting unique number sequence for Quotes, Orders, and Invoices on the Installation tab of the Tools->Options menu. Care must be taken when changing these numbers, because it is possible to set it to a number that starts creating duplicate quote numbers.

 447. The Save PDF File window now will remember the folder locations that you manually type in and will default to the last saved folder location the next time the window is displayed.

 448. For online ordering users, after online orders are placed the message that displays the order numbers has been modified to include an option to [Copy Text & Close]. Also the format of the message has changed, for example, "Tech Data - Sales Order number(s): 12345,45678". The information and format include in this is much more useful when pasting into other applications.

 449. In the Totals for all items frame on the DocumentItems tab, if the Profit/ProfitMargin are negative then they will be displayed in red.

 450. For Product Content Subscribers, the "Limit to my distributors" selection On the Product Lookup Window, now remembers the last selection used per user.

 451. For ScanSource users, the new ScanSource real-time Pricing & Availability version 3.0 API is now supported.

 452. Added an [Export to Clipboard] button for the Product Price History Window. Now, you can export any results of searches to the clipboard. The Access right "CannotExportDocumentsToClipboard" applies to this feature.

 453. Added new macro "&DH_LocalTaxRate" for cover pages, layout design, and word merging

Version 4.9 Build 2 (released December 10, 2013)

 454. For ConnectWise users, there is now a ConnectWise Integration Mode of "Primary CRM" and "Not Primary CRM". This lets ConnectWise users use QuoteWerks with a CRM like MSCRM to do all their prospecting and quoting. Then, when the quote becomes an order, at that time, using QuoteWerks, they can create the customer in ConnectWise and have QuoteWerks create the sales opportunity, products, and service tickets, etc in ConnectWise. Since QuoteWerks integrates with all 12 of the leading CRM packages, you could use any of these CRMs with QuoteWerks and then once the quote becomes an order, this functionality would allow you to export to ConnectWise. To use ConnectWise in this mode, you will need to choose ConnectWise on the Contacts->Setup Contact Manager menu, and go into the ConnectWise setup and on the Settings tab, choose the "Not Primary CRM" mode. While in the ConnectWise setup screen, make all the setup changes and click on [Ok]. After doing this, back on the Contacts->Setup Contact Manager window you will need to re-select the CRM that you want to use as the Primary CRM and click on [OK]. Once this setup is complete, a Tools->Export To ConnectWise menu will appear and that menu is used to perform the export.

 455. For ConnectWise users, added support for the ConnectWise [Quote] button on the ConnectWise Sales Opportunity. When clicking on this button, it will create a new quote based on the ConnectWise Sales Opportunity if there is no quote for this opportunity, and if there is already a quote for the ConnectWise Opportunity it will simply open the existing Quote in QuoteWerks. To setup in ConnectWise, on the left menu bar, Choose "Setup", then "Setup Tables". For the Category, choose "Opportunities", then for the "Table" choose "Quote Link". On this screen you can create a Quote Link that is different for each Business unit. Use the following URL string in the Quote Link: quotewerks://quotebutton?Source=ConnectWise&SoldToCMOpportunityRecID={opportunityid}. Also set the option to "Open in new window", and do not click on the [Test] button.

 456. For ConnectWise users, you can now map QuoteWerks fields other than the ManufacturerPartNumber to the ConnectWise Product's ProductID field. The InternalPartNumber, ItemType, and CustomText01-20 are now supported. This mapping is done in the ConnectWise setup, choose the Opportunities tab, then choose the Products sub tab.

 457. On the Purchasing window, in the Purchase Order line item detail, on the Purchase Orders and Ordered Items tabs, there is now an "Add" hyperlink in the Serial Number section that enables you to manually add serial numbers. Also, a "Copy" hyperlink was added in the Serial Number section to copy all the serial numbers to the clipboard.

 458. For Tech Data users, you can import Orders into the QuoteWerks purchasing window that have been placed directly through the Tech Data website or the TD Mobility apps. Once imported, QuoteWerks will track the order status, the tracking numbers, the serial numbers and more enabling you to be able to have access to all your purchases from a single screen. You will know what has shipped, what has not shipped from a single screen. The [Import PO from Tech Data website order] toolbar button is located on the Purchase order tab.

 459. For Tech Data users, the Import SAP Quote feature now remembers the last quote number you retrieved so that you can retrieve it again while still on the phone with the Tech Data sales rep without having to re-type it.

 460. For Peachtree users, you can now export Purchase Orders to Peachtree from the Purchasing window. You can create the Purchase Order in Peachtree straight from the Purchasing window, or if you place online orders in QuoteWerks with the Tech Data, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, or D&H, after the online order is placed, you will be asked if you want to export the online order to a Peachtree Purchase Order.

 461. Added support for CustomText15, CustomText16, CustomText17, CustomText17, CustomText18, CustomText19, and CustomText20 columns on the Document Items tab of the Quote WorkBook.

 462. When adding file links to the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook, you can now select more than one file to link at the same time.

 463. On the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window, there is now a right click menu "Delete" which can be used to delete a Purchase Order. Typically the only reason to use this is if the order was cancelled. Users with MasterRights will have access to this menu and also users with the access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanDeletePurchaseOrders".

 464. The following fields are now available for cover pages, layout design, and word merging: "&DH_&PreparedByAddress", "&DH_&PreparedByAddress1", "&DH_&PreparedByAddress2", "&DH_&PreparedByAddress3", "&DH_&PreparedByCity", "&DH_&PreparedByCountry", "&DH_&PreparedByEMail", "&DH_&PreparedByFax", "&DH_&PreparedByFaxA", "&DH_&PreparedByFaxExt", "&DH_&PreparedByFullAddress", "&DH_&PreparedByFullAddressA", "&DH_&PreparedByInlineAddress", "&DH_&PreparedByFullNameOrUserName", "&DH_&PreparedByFullName", "&DH_&PreparedByPhone", "&DH_&PreparedByPhoneExt", "&DH_&PreparedByPhoneWithExt", "&DH_&PreparedByPhoneWithExtA", "&DH_&PreparedByMobilePhone", "&DH_&PreparedByPostalCode", "&DH_&PreparedByState", "&DH_&PreparedByTitle", "&DH_&PreparedByPicture", "&DH_&PreparedByElectronicSignature".

QuoteValet Web is a browser based solution and is included in your QuoteValet subscription at no additional charge. QuoteValet Web is packed with features, here are just some of the highlights. Executive Summary: Gain insight into your business with the Executive Dashboard. From this dashboard you can see the total number and dollar amount of all quotes sent, accepted, and paid for any given date range. You can see the top quotes and orders (by $ amount), all documents that were viewed by customers, any customer comments, or sales rep comments. When reviewing each of these documents, you can use the [Send Note] feature to email the sales rep feedback or questions about the quote and you can easily cc their supervisor. Also in the dashboard is the Comparitive Analysis which gives you a pivot table like breakdown of your sales reps performance based on number of quotes, number of orders, dollar amount of quotes and dollar amounts of orders generated within a specified date range. Great for comparing the performance between sales reps. StatusBoard: The Status Board shows a non-interactive version of the Inbox for all users, but limits the notifications to priority notifications like quote acceptance, payments, customer comments, and expired quote viewed. This is meant to be run and displayed on a large monitor in the sales area so that the sales manager can see that all QuoteValet customer activity has been addressed, like all orders have been processed, etc. It automatically refreshes every minute to get you realtime customer activity notifications. Also displayed on the Status Board is the LeaderBoard which is a rotating panel that shows a) The top($) 10 Accepted Quotes this WEEK b) The top($) 10 Accepted Quotes this MONTH, c) The top($) 10 Accepted Quotes this YEAR, d) The top($) 10 Outstanding Quotes this WEEK e) The top($) 10 Outstanding Quotes this MONTH, f) The top($) 10 Outstanding Quotes this YEAR. Inbox: The inbox is very similiar to the QuoteValet Dashboard inbox within QuoteWerks. Peer Reviews: This will show you any peer reviews requested on documents that you have the rights to view. Approvals: This will show you any approval requests on documents that you have the rights to approve. My Summary: Very similiar to the Executive Summary is limited in that it will only show information about your own documents and it does not include the Comparative Analysis feature found in the Executive Summary.  467. There is now built-in VB scripting support for the Corporate Edition. This enables you to write code to extend the functionality of QuoteWerks. Do special validations, check for combinations of items, and more. We offer professional services to assist in the writing of this script. In the Site.ini file under the [Scripting] section you can specify vbscript (.vbs) files that can be run for various events in QuoteWerks like BeforePrint, BeforeSaveDocument, etc. For example "BeforeSaveDocument=BeforeSaveDocumentEventScript.vbs", where BeforeSaveDocumentEventScript.vbs file is located in the Quotewerks folder. The ini key implementation is designed so that you can have multiple events call the same .vbs script file. For a complete list of events, please see the QuoteWerks API SDK. In the script you will have access to the API Application object and also the oEventParms object which will contain the parameters for the event being called. For example you can set oEventParms("bCancel") = True to cancel the event. Or in the BeforeDeleteDocument event you can read the oEventParms("lDocID") to know the DocID of the document being deleted. The oEventParms also contains a oEventParms("sEventName") containing the name of the event that is firing.

 468. Added support for Google Contacts as a CRM source. The integration includes the ability to search Google Contacts to find Contacts to pull into the quote.

 469. QuickBooks 2014 USA, Canada and UK are now supported!

 470. For Etilize users (USA and Canada), when selecting items for purchasing on the Purchasing Window, there is now an Etilize Panel that lets you obtain current pricing and availability and enables you to change the sourcing vendor to a vendor that has the item in stock and at a lower price right before you place the order.

 471. There is now an Active Quotes Panel that can be displayed. When creating a new quote and selecting the contact you are creating the quote for, any active quotes for that contact will automatically be displayed in the Active Quotes Panel. This has several benefits. First, it brings to the sales reps attention that they or a colleague may already have an active quote out to this customer. In some cases you will just want to update the existing quote and send it out. This improves sales team communication, coordination, and eliminates the possible error of sending out more than one quote for the same project to the same customer. Second, this might be a quote that you created a while ago and lost. From here you can easily right click on the quote and choose "Convert to Lost". Third, you might realize that this customer already has several other outstanding quotes with you and you might want to re-focus your efforts on getting those quotes closed too. This Active Quotes Panel can be displayed by clicking on the icon on the Grid Toolbar. There is also a user level option "Auto display Active Quotes Panel" on the Misc tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu. This will automatically display the panel when selecting a new contact for a quote and when opening existing quotes. The Active Quotes Panel displays the quote number, quote name, SoldToCompany, and the amount of the quote. This information is displayed for any users regardless of if the logged in user has rights to view the quotes of other users. This is done in an effort to help catch duplicated efforts, where two sales reps end up creating a quote for the same thing for the same customer. While the logged in user will be able to see the limited information about the other users quote in the Active Quotes Panel, the logged in user will not be able to actually open the quote (if they do not have View rights). This feature can also help de-clutter the quote database. We might have created a quote one year ago to renew maintenance, the customer might not have moved forward. Now when we start creating a new quote, we will be alerted of the existing quote and we can just update that quote, save as next revision (getting a new quote number), and then resend that quote, eliminating clutter from our quote database as we go.

 472. User settings on the Edit User Properties window can now be copied to other users or groups using the new Apply to tab. The settings from the Menus, Access, Documents, and Commissions tabs can be copied. Document approval settings located on the Documents tab can also be copied.

 473. There is a now an "Inactive" user account property. When you define a user login as 'Inactive' the user will no longer appear in any user lists except on the User Maintenance window. Setting this Inactive property is a great way to handle changes in your staff. You can make the account inactive so that the user can no longer log into QuoteWerks using that account. It gives you time to decide how to handle their existing quotes, should you give another sales rep access to them, should you delete them, etc. Importantly, in the meantime, all the sales reps quotes/orders/invoices are preserved, for reporting and access purposes. You can easily give other sales reps access to modify this inactive user's quotes so they can open then and change the sales rep to themselves. Also, if the administrator simply does not want the user logging in, maybe while the administrator is performing some kind of maintenance for the user, the administrator can temporarily set the account to 'Inactive'. Another good use for 'Inactive' is that the account can be flagged as inactive so it cannot be used to log into QuoteWerks, but the account still exists, so the rights in the account are still valid such as what users can view or modify this inactive users documents. Yet another use for this is that the administrator can create a 'Template User' which they configure with a combination of rights. Then they can just Clone this user when they create new users, saving you the time of specifying all the individual. Setting the Inactive property on the 'Template User' will prevent it from displaying in the login screen user list. If you want other users to see the old user in the user lists, you can remove the inactive flag and just change the password and choose by security rights which users can view/modify this old users quotes (used so they can possibly take over account ownership). Ultimately you generally never want to delete users because the security data of who can view the old users quotes would be lost and if you just re-assign all the old user's quotes/orders to a new user, then you lose the historical trail of whose quote/order it actually was.

 474. As a result of the collaboration between QuoteWerks and Tech Data, QuoteWerks can now retrieve quotes created by Tech Data sales reps directly from Tech Data's internal SAP system. So while you are talking with your Tech Data sales rep and he is helping find the correct items to order and creating his internal quote, you can enter the Tech Data quote number into QuoteWerks and it will simply appear in your QuoteWerks quote! You can then review it, suggest changes, have the Tech Data sales rep make the changes, and with another click you will have the updated quote in QuoteWerks - all in real-time!

 475. There is now a PreparedBy field on the Sale Info tab of the Quote WorkBook. This is used to identify the person preparing the quote for a sales rep. This person will be cc'd on all QuoteValet notifications that normally go to the sales rep, keeping the preparer "in the loop".

 476. For QuoteValet users, when posting peer review comments, or Approvals through the QuoteValet.com interface sales rep facing page, the PreparedBy user for the quote will also receive an email notification about the peer review comment or approval.

 477. For QuickBooks users, When exporting a PO directly to QuickBooks from the Purchasing Window without having first placed an online order, you are now given the option to supply the PO number to use in QuicKBooks.

 478. For QuoteValet users, you can now specify users to be CC'd and BCC'd for the following QuoteValet notifications "OrderForm Order Placed", "First View", "Approval Approved", "Approval Not Approved", and "Peer Review Posted". This is setup under the QuoteValet tab of the Tools->Options menu.

 479. For Autotask users, the Autotask Product Name can be created from Custom Text Fields 1 - 20, Internal Part Number, and Vendor Part number in addition to the Manufacturer Part Number and Description fields that could be used in previous builds.

 480. For Autotask users, when QuoteWerks writes (Create or Update) to an Autotask Opportunity, the Opportunity Advanced Fields 1 through 5 can now contain information from the QuoteWerks document including Recurring information, deposit information, the Total Cost / Price of a particular QuoteWerks Item Type, and more. This is helpful when running reports on opportunities within Autotask.

 481. For Tech Data Canada, the Excel formatted Tech Data Price Quotation that you receive from your Tech Data sales rep can now be imported into QuoteWerks.

 482. The Australian distributor Dicker Data is now supported! For Dicker Data customers, the QuoteWerks Product Content Subscription now returns the Dicker Data part numbers, Cost and List pricing, eliminating the need to import product and pricing information.

 483. For QuoteValet users, if a customer views a QuoteValet quote and it is not the first view, but it is the first view since it was just revised and re-uploaded, then the sales rep will now receive a notification. Posted live Aug-9-2013 4:40pm

 484. For QuoteValet users, on the QuoteValet tab of the quote workbook, under the payments area, there is now a display for "Total Payments Made".

 485. Added a LastModifiedBy field on the Notes tab of the Quote WorkBook. Great for knowing what user last modified the quote.

 486. For QuoteValet users, there is now an option "Allow regular documents to be imported from QuoteValet" on the QuoteValet tab under the Tools->Options menu. Documents created in Remote installations and then uploaded to QuoteValet will display in the QuoteValet Inbox of the Master installation and vice-versa. When this option is set, you can import this document into the local installation if it does not exist. This is an easy way to import a document into an installation rather than doing a DTF export/import or a sync requiring a VPN connection. This is designed only to be used to import a document into an installation to then take over actions on the document. If both the Remote and the Master are updating their copies of this document problems will arise.

 487. For QuoteValet users, there is now an option "Prompt to Convert to Order when acceptance detected" on the QuoteValet tab under the Tools->Options menu. When unchecked, it will no longer prompt you to convert the quote to an order when opening a document that has been accepted through QuoteValet.

 488. Real-time Pricing and Availability is now available for IT Distributor ASI ( www.asipartner.com ).

 495. On the Open Document window, there is now a right click "Convert to Lost Sale" menu. This "Convert to Lost Sale" right click menu is also available on the Active Quotes Panel. It helps speed up the process by opening the quote and initiating the Convert to Lost process.

 496. The Purchasing window is now resizable, and also remembers the last location and size (per user).

 497. On the Select Contact Window, there is now an "All" button that enables you to use the selected contact for all of the contact fields including Sold To, Ship To, and Bill To.

 498. Added spotlight feature for the Access Rights tab under the Edit User Properties window. This is useful for quickly finding a Misc Access Right. This spotlight feature will highlight in bold all matching list entries and will ghost all entries that do not match.

 499. Added a new type of user rights that start with "NonMasterRightsUser_". The ability to perform these actions is usually reserved for only users with Master rights, but by assigning these individual rights to a user, the user can perform individual actions that previously only the user with Master Rights could do.

 500. Added Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanDeleteQuoteValetDocuments". If a customer has accepted a document through QuoteValet, it cannot be deleted. With this right you can. Normally you do not want to delete a document from QuoteValet that has been electronically signed, so this is usually only used when some kind of mistake was made.

 501. Added Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanAdministerAnyUsersDocuments". With this right, a user can view/modify/delete any users documents.

 502. Added Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanModifyUsers". With this right a user can modify an existing user account. There are several restrictions. The user cannot add or clone a user. The user cannot assign or remove master rights. The user cannot assign or remove the rights starting with "CanSee" or "NonMasterRightsUser_", cannot create/modify/delete groups, cannot create/modify/delete approval profiles. Only users with master rights can perform those functions. Primarily this right is meant to allow the user to change users passwords, make them inactive, change the menu rights, change most misc access rights, and change who can view/modify/delete their documents.

 503. Added Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanAdministerSystemEmailTemplates". With this right the user can modify the system email templates.

 504. Added Misc Access right "NonMasterRightsUser_CanDismissOthersQuoteValetNotifications". With this right the user can dismiss QuoteValet Inbox notifications of other users.

 509. Added a new type of user rights that start with "CanSee". By default, even users with Master Rights cannot perform these actions unless they are specifically granted to them.

 510. Added Misc Access right "CanSeeTotalsInQuoteValetWebMySummary". Depending upon the purpose why you are giving the user access to the QuoteValet Web My Summary, you may or may not want them to see the totals all the orders or quotes combined together. In certain cases you do not want your users knowing the total gross sales.

 511. Added Misc Access rights "CanSeeDateRangeThisWeekInQuoteValetWebMySummary", "CanSeeDateRangeLastWeekInQuoteValetWebMySummary", "CanSeeDateRangeThisMonthInQuoteValetWebMySummary", "CanSeeDateRangeLastMonthInQuoteValetWebMySummary", "CanSeeDateRangeTwoMonthsAgoInQuoteValetWebMySummary", "CanSeeDateRangeThisYearInQuoteValetWebMySummary", and "CanSeeDateRangeLastYearInQuoteValetWebMySummary". These are used to control how much historical data you want the user to see. It makes sense for them to see the last week or month, but do they need to see the entire year? or does that begin to show them more than you want them to be able to see?

 512. Added Misc Access right "CanSeeTotalsInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary". Depending upon the purpose why you are giving the user access to the QuoteValet Web Executive Summary, you may or may not want them to see the totals all the orders or quotes combined together. In certain cases you do not want your users knowing the total gross sales.

 513. Added Misc Access rights "CanSeeDateRangeThisWeekInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", "CanSeeDateRangeLastWeekInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", "CanSeeDateRangeThisMonthInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", "CanSeeDateRangeLastMonthInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", "CanSeeDateRangeTwoMonthsAgoInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", "CanSeeDateRangeThisYearInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary", and "CanSeeDateRangeLastYearInQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary". These are used to control how much historical data you want the user to see. It makes sense for them to see the last week or month, but do they need to see the entire year? or does that begin to show them more than you want them to be able to see?

 514. For Sage 50 US Edition (Peachtree) users, when exporting Purchase Orders you are now prompted to enter a PO number for the Peachtree PO.

 515. ConnectWise 2013.3 is now supported.

 516. Tech Data Excel Quote Importer now imports List/Retail Price.

 517. For ConnectWise users, the ShortDescription field from the ConnectWise Product definition is now displayed in the Product Lookup. It is mapped by default to the CustomText02 field. To have access to this new column, you will need to edit the ConnectWise Product Data Source under the Products->Setup Product Data Sources menu and choose to include the new column. On the ConnectWise Product screen, the field labeled "Description" is what is mapped to the QuoteWerks "ShortDescription" field on the Product Lookup. On the ConnectWise Product screen, the field labeled "Customer Description" is what is mapped to the QuoteWerks "Description" field on the Product Lookup. If the ConnectWise "Customer Description" is empty, then QuoteWerks will grab the ConnectWise "Description" field and place it in the QuoteWerks "Description" field.

 518. For ConnectWise users, when creating products in ConnectWise, the Product's ManufacturerPartNumber is now set in the ConnectWise Product. This feature is supported in ConnectWise 2013.1 and higher.

 519. For ConnectWise users, when creating products in ConnectWise, if the Manufacturer for the product does not exist in ConnectWise it will be automatically created in ConnectWise. This feature is supported in ConnectWise 2013.1 and higher.

 520. For ConnectWise users, you can now create Purchase Orders in ConnectWise. Under the new Tools->Purchasing menu you have access to all the Order items in QuoteWerks and can easily create ConnectWise Purchase Orders that contain items from multiple orders. Items that do not exist in ConnectWise will be created. Additionally if using the Online Ordering feature of the real-time module, after the items are ordered you will be asked if you want to create a Purchase Order in ConnectWise for the items you just ordered electronically. There is a new Purchase Orders tab on the ConnectWise setup window to enable or disable the PO integration with ConnectWise. Purchase Orders are supported in ConnectWise 2013.1 and higher.

 521. For Peachtree users, when exporting Purchase Orders at the same time as exporting the order, for all the vendors in the order, all the Purchase Orders are now individually sent over separately one at a time rather than in a single batch. This way if one purchase order fails to be created, all the others will still be created.

 522. Added [Launch QuoteValet Web] button on the QuoteValet Dashboard.

 523. Microsoft Dynamics CRM (MS CRM) version 6.0/2013 is now supported!

 524. There is now a 'My Summary' Dashboard in QuoteWerks. It shows a summary total number and total amount of quotes and orders from this month, last month and two months ago. It also shows all the sales' reps quotes that expire within the next 7 days. It also shows any opportunities in ConnectWise that a quote has been requested for. There is a link on the expiring quotes for QuoteValet users to easily post a comment on the expiring quote on QuoteValet to remind the customer that the quote is expiring soon. It also shows a list of all the document that have been recently opened. Pressing the F5 key on the Dashboard will refresh it. The Dashboard is accessible through the new Dashboard icon on the toolbar.

 525. For ConnectWise users, quotes can now be created starting with ConnectWise Opportunities. When a new opportunity is created in ConnectWise or an existing opportunity in ConnectWise is set to have an opportunity status of "CreateQuote", the ConnectWise Opportunity will appear in the QuoteWerks My Summary Dashboard under the Notifications section. From there you can click on the "Create Quote for ConnectWise Opportunity" link. This will create a new quote in QuoteWerks and populate the SoldTo information with the customer information associated with the opportunity. The description from the opportunity will be copied into the internal notes field on the Notes tab. It will also associate the opportunity with the quote so that when saving the quote this existing opportunity will be updated. This feature was designed so that you can have a person out in the field creating a new ConnectWise opportunity using ConnectWise mobile and just enter some basic specifications for the opportunity. Then back in the office, the person assigned to create quotes will automatically be notified that they need to create a quote for this opportunity. The same concept applies even if the opportunity is created using regular ConnectWise vs ConnectWise Mobile.

 526. The Configuration window is now resizable!

 527. When saving as next revision, if the document is locked, the resulting revision document will be unlocked. If the document was approved, the approval will be removed.

 528. For QuoteValet users, on the QuoteValet Dashboard the [Launch QuoteValet Web] button now passes the QuoteValet TenantAccountNumber and UserName to the QuoteValet Web login screen.

 538. Sage 50 US Edition (Peachtree) version 2014 is now supported!

 539. For QuoteValet users, the QuoteValet Dashboard InBox tab loads up to 20 times faster!

 540. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Tech Data Canada. We've negotiated an arrangement with Tech Data Canada to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 541. Grouped Bundles on the quote can now be converted to a single recurring monthly revenue amount (Recurring Groups). All the individual items in the bundle are totaled and then you can set an Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and a Term like 24 months. This calculates the monthly payment amount which the Group Header line will display in the UnitPrice field. There are some new macro fields to display information related to the Recurring Group which are "&GroupExtendedPricePreRecurring" and "&GroupExtendedPriceWithTaxPreRecurring". These macros will show the total amount of all the items in the grouped bundle before the total was converted to a monthly amount. They are available as columns on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts. In addition to converting a grouped bundle to recurring in the Quote WorkBook, you can also setup Grouped Bundles and Grouped Configuration definitions to be recurring. This functionality is useful for Hardware as a Service (HaaS) quoting.

See a screenshot of this feature

 542. For QuickBooks users, when exporting items to QuickBooks there is now a QuickBooks ItemName auto-generation feature. In the simplest scenario you can setup the link to just use a QuoteWerks part number like the Manufacturer field as the QuickBooks ItemName. As a starting point the value from a specified field like the QuoteWerks ManufacturerPartNumber field is used. The auto-generation feature will allow for more than this when the InternalPartNumber or any CustomTextxx field is selected as the mapped field. This new auto-generation feature will allow for many scenarios of use, including the ability to maintain your own proprietary part numbers in QuickBooks and pull them from QuickBooks using the product data source link. You can even use the Etilize functionality in combination with your own proprietary parts in QuickBooks. There are 3 auto-generation options. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to QuickBooks, if the mapped field is empty, this will stop and force you to specify your proprietary part number. If you pulled the part from QuickBooks, it will already have your proprietary part number from QuickBooks. This is useful when you have custom part numbers that are not based on any field or combination of fields. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to QuickBooks, if the mapped field is empty, then you will be forced to manually specify an ItemName before proceeding. This is used when using your own proprietary part numbers. With "Auto-generate using macro:", when exporting items to QuickBooks, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the QuickBooks ItemName, you can choose to have the QuickBooks ItemName auto-generated using a macro like &DI_ItemType:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber. With "Auto-generate using macro based on ItemType:", when exporting items to quickbooks, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the QuickBooks ItemName, you can choose to have the QuickBooks ItemName auto-generated based on the ItemType of the Item. So, for example if the ItemType is "Haas", then you can map to an auto-generation macro of "Haas:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber, but if the ItemType is "Hardware" then you can map to an auto-generation macro of just "&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber". You can also set a value for "If any ItemTypes are not mapped use the following macro:"

 543. For QuickBooks users, when linking to QuickBooks as a product data source, the QuickBooks Manufacturer field is now available for display in the product lookup and can also be mapped to a CustomText or ManufacturerPartNumber field in QuoteWerks. The manufacturer part number field is available in QuickBooks (SDK 7.0), QuickBooks USA 2008 and higher, QuickBooks AU/UK 2009 and higher. To have access to this new column, you will need to edit the QuickBooks Product Data Sources under the Products->Setup Product Data Sources menu and choose to include these new columns.

 544. The Excel formatted Tech Data Price Quotation that you receive from your Tech Data sales rep can now be imported into QuoteWerks. If you have the QuoteWerks Real-time module and have entered Tech Data USA real-time credentials, a new "Import Tech Data Excel Quote" icon will appear above the DocumentItems grid. Just click on that and choose the Excel price quotation that you receive from your Tech Data sales rep and the quote will be imported into QuoteWerks. If you select a line in the quote before importing, the Tech Data price quote will be inserted above the selected line. If no line is selected then the quote will be imported at the end of the quote. The Tech Data quotation #, the shipping amount and the freight amount are inserted as a non-printing comment line for your reference. If there are any promo notes for the imported items they will appear in the Notes column for each line item. After the Tech Data Excel Price quote file is imported, it will be linked automatically on the File Links tab for future reference.

 545. For MS CRM 5.0 users, Office 365 logins now supported! These are used with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. Microsoft Passport Logins are still supported.

 546. You can now manually specify (vs auto-retrieve from product database) pictures on the Quote WorkBook for the following line types: GroupHeader, Heading, Comment, Summary, SubTotal, RunningSubTotal, PercentCharge, and PercentDiscount.

 547. The Open Document window (File->Open) has been re-designed. There are now new "My Recent Documents" and "All Recent Documents" menu bar items. These will show all the documents modified over the selected date range. Useful for quickly finding that quote you just created or modified, Today, Yesterday, This week, etc. The "My Documents" and "Documents" menu bar items bar items now have a new option to show "Active Quotes" or "All Quotes/Orders/Invoices", useful for pairing down active quotes that have not been converted to lost or converted to an order. "Active Quotes" are defined as a DocType=QUOTE and a DocStatus that does not equal the DocStatus value defined for a "Lost Quote". This is set on the Installation tab of the Tools->Options menu. Also, if a document has been converted to an ORDER or INVOICE then it will not be displayed in the "Active Quotes" list. From this "Documents" menu bar item you can also filter by a date range of when the quotes expire or a date range of the DocDate for the quotes.

 548. The "Search" menu bar now has two tabs "Search" and "More". The filter criteria set across these two tabs will be used when clicking on the [Find] button. On the "More" tab you can now filter by document GrandTotal amount, for example, like quotes with an amount greater than $3,500 and less than $10,000.

 549. On the "Search" menu bar of the Open Document window, you can now search for documents by a line item contained in the document. You can search, for example, for all documents that contain the phrase "special discount" in the line item description field. You can search the Description, ItemType, Manufacturer, ManufacturerPartNumber, Vendor, VendorPartNumber, and CustomTextXX fields. You can do Begins with, Ends With, Contains, Equal to, and Not Equal to searches.

 550. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Tech Data UK (Computer2000). We've negotiated an arrangement with Tech Data UK (Computer2000) to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 551. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for BlueStar USA. We've negotiated an arrangement with BlueStar USA to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 552. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Ingram Micro Australia. We've negotiated an arrangement with Ingram Micro Australia to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 553. On the Purchasing tab of the Purchasing window, there is now a right click menu option of "Copy DocNo". Useful for copying the DocNo of an item and then opening the order from the Open Document window.

 554. For Tech Data online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to Tech Data overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a Tech Data sales rep quotation # or manufacturer special. When Tech Data receives an order that has prices specified, it automatically places the order on hold for sales rep review. QuoteWerks will pass the reason you specified in each line item so the Tech Data sales rep knows the reason for the non-standard price. QuoteWerks automatically sends the Tech Data sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order and to process it. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 555. For Ingram Micro online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to Ingram Micro overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a Ingram Micro sales rep quotation # or manufacturer special. When QuoteWerks detects that non-standard pricing is being submitted, it submits the order to Ingram Micro with AutoRelease set to Hold. The Ingram Micro sales rep needs to be notified to look for the OnHold order so QuoteWerks automatically sends the Ingram Micro sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order and to process it. QuoteWerks will pass the reason you specified for the non-standard pricing as comment lines below each of the line items so the Ingram Micro sales rep knows the reason for the non-standard price. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 556. For SYNNEX online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to SYNNEX overriding the SYNNEX real-time price with your own SYNNEX sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a SYNNEX quotation #. Upon receipt of an online order with prices that do not match SYNNEX real-time they will be placed on hold and flagged for manual review by the SYNNEX sales rep to approve the prices. Also the Order level Special Instructions has been increased to 300 characters and can be used to remind the sales rep of the reason for your non-standard price. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 557. For D&H online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to D&H overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. D&H does not support online order comment lines or allow for a unit price to be specified. QuoteWerks will list in the online order's REMARKS field the list of part numbers that have the non-standard price. This will flag the order to be manually reviewed. QuoteWerks will also automatically send the D&H sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order that contains non-standard pricing and to process it. The e-mail will include a reference to the part numbers and the non-standard pricing. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 558. The QuoteWerks Product Content Subscription now returns the List Price from the QuoteWerks PartLocator service if List Price is not returned through the distributor's real-time Pricing & Availability system. The PartLocator currently stores list price for Tech Data (USA, Canada), Tech Data UK (Computer2000), Ingram Micro (USA, Canada, Australia), SYNNEX (USA), D&H (USA), and BlueStar (USA). You must have a realtime xml account with these distributors in order to receive their List price.

 559. When doing an Etilize search you can type in, for example, "mouse USB optical not(keyboard)" to search for USB optical mouse that does not have the word "keyboard" in the results.

 560. When a part number is found in an Etilize search, but the distributor part numbers are missing, QuoteWerks PartLocator will find them using the PartLocator data. When part numbers are not found through an Etilize search, it is typically because the part numbers require authorization to purchase. When this happens, the PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear to the right of the part number.

 561. With product Content Subscription information coming from both Etilize and the QuoteWerks PartLocator, there are now visual indicators identifying where the information is coming from. A PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear to the right of the part number if the PartLocator was used to locate the part number. Similarly, if the Etilize search returned no results at all, and the PartLocator did find results, then a PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear in the bottom left of the Etilize panel. Conversely, if all the information was found through Etilize, then the Etilize icon will appear in the bottom left of the Etilize panel.

 562. For MS CRM 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 users the QuoteWerks linked document now attaches to the MS CRM opportunity instead of the MS CRM Account. This also applies to any file attaching that QuoteWerks performs with MS CRM, so the automatic attachment of PDF quotes sent to customers will attach to the opportunity (if any). The same applies when attaching files from the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook.

 563. Added a new line item level "&ProfitAmount" macro. Note, this is a line item level calculation of profit and is calculated and rounded per line item. This macro available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts.

 564. When duplicating a document, added option "Remove Line Item SONumber and PONumbers". This is useful when duplicating documents that already have purchasing related information in them.

 566. For debugging Product Content Subscription results, holding down the SHIFT key while double-Clicking on the PartLocator or Etilize icon located in the bottom left of the Etilize panel will show the XML data the content is based on.

 567. When selecting a line item on the Quote WorkBook, and using Etilize panel, when an item is not found in Etilize, QuoteWerks will search the PartLocator for the item's description and vendor information.

 569. For QuickBooks users, QuickBooks Fixed Asset type accounts now show up in the Asset account list and also the Expense account list when creating items in QuickBooks.

 570. The Save File window now remembers the last folder that the last file was saved to. It separately remembers the folders depending upon what file saving action is being performed. Actions include: [Save as PDF] button from the Print window, when merging a word document from the File Links tab, when creating a new file to attach to the File Links tab.

 571. Added a new line item level "&RecurringRevenueWithTax" macro. This is available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts. This will contain the recurring revenue with tax amount whether it comes from Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual.

 572. On Deposit required window, typing in a % of document will auto populate the Fixed Amount field with the actual amount related to the percent. The fixed amount field can then be easily manually changed to round the amount or simply manually set an amount that is close. Pressing the enter key in either the Full Amount or Percent of Document field will "click the OK button".

 573. Added a P toolbar button above the Quote WorkBook grid on the Document Items tab. The P button displays the properties for the selected item, similar to the Edit->Edit Line Properties menu.

 574. Added an toolbar button above the Quote WorkBook grid on the Document Items tab. The A button displays the Line Attributes window for the selected item, similar to the Edit->Edit Line Attributes menu or double-clicking on the row selector for the line.

 575. For GoldMine users, you can now search by contact name.

 576. Added spotlight feature for the License Key list under the Utilities->License Manager menu. This is useful for installations that have, for example, 50 remote license keys and need to find a particular user's license key. This spotlight feature will highlight in bold all matching list entries and will ghost all entries that do not match.

 577. Implemented the existing InternalPartNumber field. Increased the size from 40 to 255 characters in the DocumentItems table. For new installations the InternalPartNumber field in the product database will be 255 characters. For existing product databases the field size will need to be increased manually from 40 to 255 characters. This InternalPartNumber field is available on the Document Items tab as a column and also on the Edit Product window.

 578. Added support for <> macro in the Word merging.

 579. When converting quotes to orders, quotes to invoices, or orders to invoices, the DocDate field on the Sale Info tab is now updated with the date of the conversion. If the quote was accepted through QuoteValet, then the date of that acceptance (which might be on a weekend) will be used.

 580. For Product Content Subscription users, individual product weights are being retrieved from Etilize (if available).

 581. For Ingram Micro users, when placing online orders, the Special Instructions field now supports up to 175 characters and appears as Ingram Micro sales rep internal comment lines at the top of the order.

 582. Added "&GroupExtendedCostPreRecurring" macro to display information related to the Recurring Group. This macro will show the total extended cost of all the items in the grouped bundle before the total extended cost was converted to a monthly amount in the recurring bundle. This macro is available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts.

 583. On the DocumentItems tab, the ItemType column now accepts data for SubTotal, RunningSubTotal, and Summary type line items.

 584. Autotask contact data can be retrieved using the F2 Lookup macro of ~Autotask_Macro().

 585. salesforce.com contact data can be retrieved using the F2 Lookup macro of ~salesforce_Macro().

 586. On the Online Ordering screens for D&H, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and Tech Data, the PONumber field now as F2Lookup support. This can used in conjunction with the advanced F2 Lookup features like ~RunAppAndReturnClipboard(c:\windows,c:\YourCustomApp.exe,1) and ~RequestDDEValue(excel, sheet1, R1C1). With these you can essentially obtain the next PO number to use for your QuoteWerks PO number from an external application. See the user manual for details on these advanced F2Lookup features.

 587. The PriceModifier now supports rounding. This can be used to round the result of the Price modifier calculation. Normally with a PriceModifier of P20, for 20 points margin, with a cost of $100, the UnitPrice would be $112.36. If you use the Rounding feature of the Price Modifier like P20R1 then it would round to the nearest dollar resulting in $113.00. Rounding factors can only be 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, 1, 5, 10, 100 ( Examples: R0.01, R.05, R.10, R1, R5, R10, R100 )

 595. For Autotask users, you can now send over an item as an Autotask Labor Item to the Autotask Quote. The Labor item must already exist in Autotask. If the Labor Item is not found, the Quote Item will be added as a Cost Item.

 596. Added Misc Access right "CannotExportDocumentsToClipboard". This will prevent a user from exporting a list of documents from the Export button on the Open Document window.

The files on the remote can either be replaced or only updated with new or updated files. There are now also options to copy the site.ini and {username}.ini files out to the remote install for the initial rollout/setup, and there is also an option to synchronize the label customizations.  610. For QuoteValet users it is now possible to pre-populate OrderForm document fields via QueryString parameters. This is especially useful when delivering OrderForm links to your customers as part of a mail-merge campaign, etc. All SoldTo, ShipTo, BillTo, CustomTextXX, CustomNumberXX Fields are currently supported. (Syntax Example: &FillField_DH_)

 611. For QuoteValet users, your customers can now sign using their mouse (as a pen) and their digital signature is captured. See a screenshot of this feature

 612. For QuoteValet Mobile users, the quantity and description of line items can now be manually input.

 613. On the Quote WorkBook, when displaying the Etilize panel for an item, only a Vendor Part Number and a distributor that Etilize supports is required to retrieve information from Etilize about this item. This is useful, for example, when pulling in a list of Tech Data part numbers into the quote and then wanting to fill in the information on the products (such as the description and picture) using Etilize.

 614. For ConnectWise users, it is now possible to select whether or not to create individual products items for an opportunity right from within the Create/Update Opportunity Window. This is especially useful during the initial stages of creating the quote where you might not want to send all the items over to ConnectWise yet. On the ConnectWise Setup window, under the Forecast Lines Sub Tab of the Opportunities tab, there is an option "Default 'Create/Update individual product items' checkbox on the ConnectWise Opportunity Integration Window" which lets you set this default. You can also always force the creation of the items by checking the "Force the creation of Individual product items when 'Converting to' or Creating/Updating' an Order or Invoice" checkbox.

 615. For ConnectWise users, when creating/updating an opportunity in ConnectWise the Opportunity Status list is now populated with the values from the corresponding ConnectWise Setup Table instead of being hardcoded.

 616. For ConnectWise users, when converting a quote to an order and in the process converting the ConnectWise Opportunity status, you now have the choice to specify which Opp Status you want to change the ConnectWise opportunity to.

 617. For ConnectWise users, on the ConnectWise Setup window, under the General Sub Tab of the Opportunities tab, you can now set the Default Opportunity Status for new opportunities, Closed-Won opportunities, and Closed-Lost opportunities.

Version 4.8 Build 1 (released November 21, 2012)

 631. QuoteValet Shopping Cart. Create online order forms with the QuoteValet shopping cart. Use them to automate customer re-orders or to receive paid orders from a promotional email blast. The QuoteValet Shopping cart is included, at no extra charge, in your QuoteValet subscription! It is easy to setup and use, simply 1) save/upload the order form, 2) grab the shopping cart URL, and then 3) email the shopping cart URL to your customer or include in your promotional email blast. It's that easy! Orders will appear in your QuoteValet Dashboard. Get used to coming into work each morning to an inbox full of paid orders from your QuoteValet Shopping Cart. The QuoteValet Shopping Cart is great for many uses, but here are two in particular. First, with your established customer base, they probably routinely order consumable items from you, low dollar items that you probably don't make much money on. Use the QuoteValet Shopping Cart to automate this process. You simply setup a Shopping Cart OrderForm template that contains all the items your customer typically orders and then give them the QuoteValet Shopping Cart website URL to go to whenever they need to order these items and from that point on you will simply receive orders in your inbox. No more phone calls and emails trying to identify the correct items to re-order. The other great way to use the QuoteValet Shopping Cart is to create an OrderForm for some kind of item, like a limited time special offer discount, like an HP Server, for example, and you can even set an expiration date on the OrderForm. Then you simple send out an email blast to all your customers pointing them to this Shopping Cart Order Form and simply put, you will have an order waiting for you in your QuoteValet Dashboard from anyone that was interested!

 632. When placing Online Orders, the order is now saved in QuoteWerks and is available under the Purchase Order and Ordered Items tabs on the Purchasing window.

 633. Procurement Tracking. For Online Orders placed through QuoteWerks with D&H, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and Tech Data, realtime order shipping updates are now available. You will receive realtime order status including line item shipping status, estimated ship date, ship date, warehouse fulfillment locations, shipping tracking numbers, product serial numbers, and more - all on a single screen in QuoteWerks. Customers have higher and higher expectations everyday, if they get down to the minute order status updates from large $100 million a year company, they expect it from you too, and with QuoteWerks, you can deliver that! How often do you get a call from your customer like "Where is that server I ordered?". Some companies have to pay a full time person just to keep up with order status requests. With the Procurement Tracking feature, you can spend less time tracking your orders and more time building your business. Not only can you track order status, you can keep track of the actual fulfillment. Sure, you placed the order with 5 items on it, but has it shipped? Did all 5 items ship? Have you actually received all the items? UPS says it was delivered, but you don't have it. Do you have all the items you need for Customer ABC to do the job for them? You submitted one PO, but how many sales orders did the distributor split that into? All of these answers are now provided by QuoteWerks.

 634. For QuoteValet users, there is a new Activity Notifications tab in the QuoteValet setup under the QuoteValet tab of the Tools->Options menu. For key QuoteValet events like when a QuoteValet Mobile quote is created, a quote is accepted, or when payment is made, in addition to the sales rep receiving email notifications, you can specify additional users/email addresses to receive a CC or BCC of the notification. This is especially useful for keeping the accounting department in the loop when payments are received and for keeping sales managers in the loop when quotes are accepted.

 635. For QuoteValet users, uploading a quote to QuoteValet always requires that the customer electronically sign before you can collect payment. Now, if you start with an ORDER type of document in QuoteWerks and upload it to QuoteValet your customer can immediately provide payment without having to first electronically sign.

 636. For QuoteValet Mobile users, volume priced items are now supported.

 637. We have a new FedEx and UPS shipping rates integration enabling you to obtain real-time shipping quotes from your carriers. Use it to calculate your shipping costs, mark them up and pass them through to your customer. Choose from a grid of available services and pricing like Ground, Overnight, Two day, etc. You can also easily give your customers shipping option choices (complete with pricing) such as Ground, Overnight, etc. Requires the realtime module. You will need to have an account with FedEx or UPS to use this feature. The feature is setup under the Shipping tab of Real-time tab under the Tools->Options menu.

 638. Azure product database support. You can now host your QuoteWerks Product Databases in the cloud through Microsoft Azure. If you have multiple QuoteWerks installations and want to keep the product databases up to date, you currently have to get the remote installations to synchronize on a regular basis. With the Azure support, you can just setup one or more QuoteWerks product databases to be hosted on Azure and then all the remote installations of QuoteWerks can simply use that same shared product database so there no longer is a need to synchronize the product database. We've made it really easy to move your QuoteWerks product database up to the Azure cloud, simply right click on a QuoteWerks native product database and choose "Upload/Migrate to Azure". Another great use for this feature is for manufacturers that have dealers or any company that wants to share their QuoteWerks price list with other QuoteWerks users. In this case the manufacturer creates an Azure QuoteWerks product database and then provides their dealers with the read-only credentials to this Azure database. It is that simple. The Corporate Edition is required for the Azure integration.

 639. Our product content subscription (powered by Etilize) now has a new PartLocator service. Distributors add new parts to their websites daily and subscription services have a tough time keeping up with that pace. Now, QuoteWerks provides you with ALL the parts from your distributors D&H, Ingram Micro (USA and Canada), SYNNEX, and Tech Data (USA only). We've negotiated deals with the distributors to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 640. With Audit Trail Tracking, key events are recorded creating an audit trail of changes made to the document such as: a) when the document is saved b) who an email is sent from the quote, email address (to/subject/attachments), c) when the document is uploaded to QuoteValet for customer, peer review, approval, mobile template, d) when the document is updated with customers selections from QuoteValet, e) when the document is converted to an order or invoice, f) when the document is exported to QuickBooks or Peachtree, g) when the document approval is requested through QuoteWerks or QuoteValet, and h) when the document is approved through QuoteWerks or QuoteValet. The current date, time, and logged-in user is recorded along with the event. Using the "Audit Trail Transaction Record Macros" option under the Security tab of the Tools->Options menu you can choose what other information from the document you would like to record in the even such as GrandTotal, LineCount, DocStatus, etc. Also on the Security tab is a "Enable Audit Trail Backup files" checkbox. This will create a backup copy of the document (under the \History\AuditTrail folder) every time the document is saved. Under the File->Properties menu you can see the audit trail events and also a listing of the "Audit Trail Backup Files" and "Automatic Backup Files".

 641. For QuoteValet Mobile users, that use ConnectWise, there is now a new Contacts bottom tab where you can choose the ConnectWise contact from your ConnectWise database while creating a QuoteValet mobile quote.

 642. The QuoteWerks Sales Tax Rate lookup service now displays the date the QuoteWerks Tax Table was Last Updated, and also displays the effective date of each of the City, State, County, etc taxes which is very useful in determining exactly when new tax rates have taken effect.

 643. On the Groups tab of the Utilities->User Maintenance menu, there is now a Group Members list that displays the members of each group when selected.

 644. ConnectWise 2012.2 is now supported!

 645. On the Realtime tab of the Tools->Options menu, added a [Test] button for Tech Data, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and D&H to test the real-time credentials on their respective tabs.

 646. A new Word merging template "MSP Word Proposal.doc" is now included.

 647. A new management report "Totals For All Items by Rep" is now included.

Version 4.7 Build 8 (released October 5, 2012)

 648. When sending email, there is now a new "Hide TO Recipients from each other" option and you can also address to the email to recipients by selecting vendor email addresses from the Utilities->Vendors list. These seemingly innocuous features are very powerful. With these you can now create an RFQ and choose multiple vendors to email the same RFQ to and the email will be sent to them individually addressed to each of them separately from you, and they will not see the other vendors that the RFQ has been emailed to. This is a real advantage over using Outlook to do this. If you send this kind of email from Outlook it will be sent to "undisclosed recipients" rather than an individual person. The workaround most people use is to send the email to themselves from themselves and BCC the vendor. This does not look professional and is often caught by spam filters. Of course, in Outlook you can just manually create a separate email for each vendor and attach the PDF RFQ, but that is a lot of work that this feature now eliminates.

 649. For GoldMine users, when using the new "Hide TO Recipients from each other" option, each sent email is logged in GoldMine (if the email address is found in GoldMine) as if it was sent from GoldMine.

 650. On the Send Email window, a count of the number of email recipients in the TO, CC, and BCC boxes is now displayed next to their respective label.

 651. On the Send Email window, you can now paste a list of email addresses from the Windows Clipboard into the send email TO, CC, and BCC recipient text boxes. Simply copy the list of email addresses into the Windows Clipboard, then hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the [Select Recipients] button. This will take any list of email addresses that are each on their own line and convert them into a comma delimited list of recipients and paste into the recipient box. Of note, the import will eliminate duplicate email addresses, and will ignore lines of data that do not contain an "@" symbol.

 652. Real-time Pricing and Availability is now available for Westcon Group. Westcon Group includes Comstor, Collaboration, and Vodaone, and is available on the Etilize Panel.

 653. For Etilize users, Arbitech, Blue Star, Digitek, EET, Supplies Network, and Northamber pricing & availability is now available on the Etilize Panel if you have accounts with these distributors.

 654. For Etilize users, the QuoteWerks Price Modifier can now be mapped to an Etilize Category Name. If no Category is mapped, the default price modifier will be used. As an example, this allows you to markup software and hardware differently.

 655. For Etilize users, on the Etilize Panel Accessory tab, you can now double-click on the distributor real-time pricing option to add the item to the Workbook.

 656. For online ordering users, if all the items selected for ordering come from the same order, the SoldTo/ShipTo/BillTo address from that order will be available for selection when ordering.

 657. For Ingram Micro online ordering users, there is now a "Ingram Micro Default" ShipVia option.

 658. For Ingram Micro online ordering users, you can now select the warehouse to ship each line item from.

 659. With the new Vendor Import Wizard you can import vendor information into the Utilities->Vendor Maintenance list using the new [Import] button.

 660. On the Accounting tab of the Tools->Options menu, there is a new "Selected Accounting Integration" option. The accounting integrations to both QuickBooks and Peachtree are activated when using the Professional or Corporate Editions of QuoteWerks. With this option you can now specify which integration you use, after which QuickBooks or Peachtree toolbar buttons, etc will be removed depending upon your selection. Also on this tab are now setup buttons for both integrations. Also after placing an electronic order, this will control if you are prompted to export the PO to QuickBooks.

 661. Windows 8 is now supported.

 662. There is now a new "QuoteWerks Light Blue" user interface skin. It has a more flat look to it with nice clean form edges. We know you'll like it… we do! You can change your QuoteWerks skin under the Appearance tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu.

 663. Windows 2012 Server is now supported!

 664. You can now disable a product data source under the Products->Setup Product Data Sources menu.

 665. When creating a new QuoteWerks contact database contact, the customer tax rate will default to the default document tax rate specified on the Documents tab under the Tools->Options menu.

 666. Distributor realtime raw error messages are now displayed when hovering over the distributor price listing in the Etilize panel if there was an error retrieving the realtime pricing.

 667. QuickBooks 2013 USA, Canada, and UK now supported!

 668. The Send E-Mail window has been re-designed. There is now an option to send the e-mail in either "Regular E-Mail" or "Mass E-Mail" mode. When sending the e-mail in "Mass E-Mail" mode, the recipients will not see each other's email addresses or names. This replaces the old "Hide TO Recipients from each other" checkbox.

 669. When sending emails you can now control where/how the email is logged in your CRM. For ACT!, ACT! for Web, GoldMine, Maximizer, and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the CRM record for the SoldTo contact. Previously this would happen behind the scenes automatically, whereas now you have more control over it. For GoldMine and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the E-Mail recipient contact record in GoldMine or MS CRM respectively.

Once created, the QuoteValet engine takes over, allowing the customer to choose options, electronically sign, and pay by credit card.

 702. For QuoteValet Mobile users, QuoteWerks templates can now be uploaded to QuoteValet by choosing the "Save Template to QuoteValet Mobile" option on the File->Save As Template window. For existing templates you can choose the "Save Template to QuoteValet Mobile" option on the File->Save window. The makes the template available on QuoteValet Mobile.

 703. New Inbox tab on the QuoteValet Dashboard. On the Inbox tab you will Only see new QuoteValet activity notifications. This is an improvement over the Reporting tab which just shows all activity. Also, with the new inbox notification, the notification like a customer acceptance will stay in your inbox until you are ready to dismiss it, preventing you from accidentally losing track of the acceptance. Each inbox notification displays an icon indicating what type of activity has happened since you last checked.

 704. For QuoteValet users, on the QuoteValet Dashboard, the reporting has been enhanced. The Manage tab has been renamed to Reporting, and now there are some new reports. There are separate "Customer Activity" and "Internal Activity" reports. The Expiring/Expired reports have been separated into "Expiring" and "Expired" for more effect use. A new report "Uploaded for Customer Acceptance" is useful for knowing how many quotes where uploaded for customer acceptance during any given date range. Another new report is "Accepted (with balance due)" useful in tracking down those customers that have not paid yet. Another related new report is the "Payment Received" report. Lastly to pair with the new QuoteValet Mobile functionality there is a new "QuoteValet Mobile Documents" report. The QuoteValet document activity history now is color coded so that Customer activity is different than Sales Rep activity. You can now also filter documents by "Doc Name contains", "Company starts with", and Source (QuoteWerks or QuoteValet Mobile).

 715. Attach File to CRM feature. With this feature you can automatically and manually attach files to your CRM. When emailing a quote to your customer as a PDF file, the PDF file will automatically be attached. When uploading a quote to QuoteValet and Emailing the customer the notification, the PDF file of the quote will automatically be attached. You can manually attach a file to your CRM by right clicking on a file in the Links tab, on the Print Preview window, and also from the Print window Save as PDF option. This makes the PDF version of the quote viewable by any colleagues that have access to the CRM record without having to have QuoteWerks installed. Particularly useful for the service or technical side of the business having access to the details of the job that was quoted. This new feature is turned on by default and can be controlled with the setting "[]Automatically attach PDF sent to customer by E-Mail or QuoteValet to the CRM Account or Opportunity." located on the Print tab of the Tools->Options menu. When using this feature with Autotask, ConnectWise, salesforce.com, you need to attach the quote to an opportunity first. Once the quote is associated with the CRM opportunity, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM Opportunity. When using this feature with ACT! 2005+, GoldMine, Outlook, Outlook BCM, MS CRM, Maximizer 10+, SugarCRM, and SalesLogix you need to link the quote to a CRM contact first. Once the quote is linked with the CRM contact, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM contact.

 716. You can now manually associate a picture with a line item in the quote. Previously this would happen only through Etilize or through the picture specified in the product Definition in a product database. This new feature is useful for attaching "one-off" pictures to an item in the quote. There is a "Show/Hide Set Picture Panel" button on the Quote WorkBook.  719. The web browser "quotewerks:" protocol handler introduced with QuoteValet as a way to open QuoteWerks quotes using a URL. Now it has been updated to support all the functionality supported by the QuoteWerks Web Connector, thereby eliminating the need for the QuoteWerks Web Connector. This is particularly beneficial for terminal service users because the WebConnector would need to be setup for each terminal server user on a different manually specified port number, whereas none of this setup will now be required with the new "quotewerks:" protocol handler. The Web Connector is used mostly in conjunction with web based CRM packages like salesforce.com and SugarCRM. It can also be used with any system that can launch a Web Link (URL). Using this feature it is possible to automate QuoteWerks creating a new quote and populating it with information from the web url. To modify existing web urls to work with the new "quotewerks:" protocol handler, simply change "http://localhost:1001/" to "quotewerks://"

 720. On the QuoteValet Dashboard, when it is first loaded, it now defaults to only showing activity for the logged in sales rep vs All activity. This results in faster load up time. Additionally, it will remember the last sales rep selection and use this as the default until QuoteWerks is restarted.

 721. On the options tab of the Open Export Module setup there is now a new "Do not export Heading Lines" option.

 722. The QuoteValet Dashboard window can now be minimized and there is now a Refresh button on the Payments tab (in addition to the F5 key refreshing the list of payments).

This is useful for customers that do not need their customers to change options and would prefer just to present the PDF version of the quote to their customer and then have them electronically sign.

 730. Maximizer 12 is now supported!

 731. Ingram Micro Netherlands Real-time Pricing & Availability is now supported!

Along with this feature are two new security rights. If the security right "CannotViewFullCreditCardDetails" is set then the user will not be able to view/copy the full credit card details. If the security right "CannotViewOthersFullCreditCardDetails" is set then the user will not be able to view/copy the full credit card details from other sales reps orders.

 734. For QuoteValet users, when making payments by Proxy, you can now specify the payment method like Check, Wire Transfer or VISA, etc for times when the customer just calls in directly with payment. This is particularly useful when exporting these payments from QuoteValet to QuickBooks. You can also specify the Proxy Payment Reference, useful when receiving a check payment to enter for example "ck#1234".

 735. For QuickBooks users, when the user logged into QuickBooks has QuickBooks Security Rights for "Sensitive Financial Data" and "Sensitive Accounting Activity" set to "No Access", the QuickBooks integration will now work under those settings.

 736. For QuickBooks users, when exporting QuoteValet payments, you can now setup mappings that map the QuoteValet payment methods to different payment method and deposit accounts in QuickBooks. For example, while QuoteValet sends over VISA or MC, in QuickBooks, you might want the payment method for both of those to simply be "Credit Card". When accepting a payment when PayPal was used, you might want that payment to be deposited into a different account than where the regular credit card payments are deposited. The mappings become even more important when accepting check or wire transfer payments by proxy as you will typically want to deposit those payments into different accounts, for example, a check would go into "Undeposited Funds", whereas a wire transfer would be deposited directly into the bank account.

 737. For QuickBooks users, you can now export a QuoteValet payment to QuickBooks without first exporting the quote/order/invoice to QuickBooks.

 743. You can now specify line attributes in product definitions. When using products as bundle items, configuration items, required items, and optional items, those line attributes specified in their setup will override the line attributes specified in the product definition.

 744. The "Hide Quantity" attribute can now be specified for Group Header type line items.

 745. The "Hide Quantity" attribute can now be specified when setting up Bundle Items, Configuration Items, Required Items, and Optional Items.

 755. On the Open Document window, the document date can now be specified by selecting "Today", "This Week", etc.

 756. On the Purchasing window, there is now a right click menu "Manually enter PO Number". This is useful when you have already created the PO for the item elsewhere, as setting the PO number removes it from the list of items that need to be ordered. Optionally you can also specify the PO date that will be written into the Order Date column for each line item selected.

 757. On the Purchasing window, you can now filter by customer. Only customers and vendors within the filter date range are displayed.

The entire ConnectWise Integration has been re-written from the ground up to take advantage of many new public APIs available in 2011.2. As a result, the integration is overall much faster and now almost completely uses their public APIs.

 812. For ConnectWise users, the Primary SalesRep can now be specified When Creating/Updating an opportunity.

 813. For ConnectWise users, support has been added for product class types of "Service" and "Agreement". The forecast creation logic for these product class types now mirrors ConnectWise.

 814. For ConnectWise users, on the Create/Update Opportunity Window, Sales Stages are now sorted by the underlying Sequence Number instead of by their Description.

 815. For ConnectWise users, the Location and Business Unit for a new opportunity default to the default Location and Business Unit set for the selected company in ConnectWise.

 816. For ConnectWise users, the shipping amount specified on the Shipping Amount window accessible from the Document Items tab can now be sent over to the ConnectWise opportunity as a forecast summary line, or an individual product (including cost).

 817. The synchronization of documents like quotes/orders/invoices will now propagate document deletions out between the master installation, remote site installation, and remote pc installations. Once this update is installed, all deletions be recorded and then propagated when the sync process is run. It will not retroactively apply deletes that happened before build 5 was installed. Deletions on the master will propagate out to the remote laptop installation, and also any quotes deleted from the remote installation will be deleted from the master installation. Security rights determine if a user can delete quotes. Before a quote is deleted, a backup is made of it in the \QuoteWerks\DTF folder like jbnlQ1001.b01 just in case it needs to be recovered.

 818. For Corporate Edition users rehosted to SQL, Email Templates (introduced in this build) can now be rolled out to remote installations or bi-directionally synchronized (including deletions).

 819. Email templating system. Under the Tools->Customize E-Mail Templates menu you can now customize all the emails that QuoteWerks sends. The E-mail Templates window can stay open while sending e-mails in QuoteWerks making it easy to quickly make adjustments and preview the results. There are System, Public and user E-Mail templates. System Email Templates are templates like "SYS_EmailQuote", "SYS_EmailPeerReviewRequest", etc. These are the templates that are used when sending these types of emails. The System templates can be directly modified by users with Master Rights. If individual users want their own versions of these templates, they simply clone the System template which creates a copy with the same name, but it is owned by the user. Then, when sending these types of emails, if the user has a template with the same name like "SYS_EmailQuote", then that template will be used. Users can also create their own templates to be used from the Send Email window. There is now a new "Select Template" dropdown on the Send Email window. When a template is selected, the subject and body of the email will be updated with the information from the template. We've introduced a feature called "Template Contexts". Imagine you create a whole bunch of email templates, some that you use when emailing a quote, some that you use when emailing an invoice, some that you use when emailing a management report, etc. If we just listed all the templates, it would be a massive list of templates to choose from that were not relevant to what you were doing. With the Templates Contexts feature, you choose when the template appears in the list of templates to choose from. Public templates can also be created. Public templates would be templates that most users would want to use, typically with company standardized information in them. So, rather than each user create their own copy with the same information, the administrator could just create a Public template that all the users could use. The real benefit here is that changes can be made in one template, and all the users now are using the updated template. Public templates (based on their context) will appear in the list of templates for all users on the Send Email window. The E-Mail templating system only supports HTML formatted text. Because of this, the default "Message Format" option for "HTML" or "Plain text" has been removed. This was located under the Tools->My Preferences, Email tab, and then Defaults subttab. With the introduction of the Email Templates feature set, this setting is no longer relevant. The Email format can still be changed on the Send Email window from HTML to Plain text, thereby stripping out any HTML formatting.

 820. Email snippets. Email Snippets are a great way to centrally organize and maintain information that is used in multiple email templates. If you have two email templates that both need to include the same information, you could of course type that same information into both email templates, and then when you need to make a change, you will need to remember to change it in both the email templates. If you entered that information into a Snippet, and then used a macro in the two email templates to refer to that Snippet, then you could just make changes to the information in the snippet and the changes will automatically appear in the two email templates. There are Public and user E-Mail Snippets. Just like with E-Mail templates, Public Snippets would be snippets of information that most users would want to use, typically with company standardized information in them. So, rather than each user create their own Snippet with the same information, the administrator could just create a Public Snippet that all the users could use. The real benefit here is that changes can be made in one Snippet, all the templates that the snippet is used in will be updated. To use a Public Snippet in an email template or an email signature, simply include the macro PublicSnippet:{snippet name} and replace the entire {snippet name} portion with the name of the Snippet. The macro name to include a Snippet owned by the logged in user is MySnippet:{snippet name}.

 821. Information from external files can be included in E-Mail Templates, E-Mail Snippets, and E-Mail Signatures. Simply include the macro File:{file name and path} and replace the entire {file name and path} portion with something like f:\goldmine\jcl.html. You can use this to insert html or plain text.

 822. The following new macros are only available in email templates RecipientName, RecipientFirstName, RecipientLastName, RecipientEmail.

 823. There are some advanced macros that can be used in the HTML Email Templates, Snippets, and Signatures. They are SystemTemplateBody:{Name}, SystemTemplateSubject:{Name}, PublicTemplateBody:{Name}, PublicTemplateSubject:{Name}, MyTemplateBody:{Name}, MyTemplateSubject:{Name}. These can be used to do some neat things, like create a template that includes all the information from another template and then just adds some more information above or below the other templates information. For example, there might be a public template that contains information thanking the customer for placing an order, and you can then create your own template that adds your own summary of the information above it. The subject version of the macro is used to obtain the subject of the email template. You can use this in the subject line of another template.

 824. Added macros &APP_&LOGGEDINUSERFULLADDRESSA, &APP_&LOGGEDINUSERPHONEWITHEXTA, &APP_&LOGGEDINUSERFAXA, &DH_&SALESREPFULLADDRESSA, &DH_&SALESREPPHONEWITHEXTA, &DH_&SALESREPFAXA, &APP_LoggedInUserMobilePhone, &DH_&SalesRepMobilePhone, &DH_&QuoteValetCustomerFacingURL, &DH_&QuoteValetPeerReviewURL, &DH_&QuoteValetApprovalURL, &DH_&URLToOpenDocument.

 825. You can now have more than one email signature. In fact, you have a Standard, Short, Alternate1, Alternate2, and Alternate3 email signature. There are so many uses for this. During each season of the year, you might have a slightly different e-mail signature (like Happy Halloween, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, etc) and now you can keep them all instead of replacing it each time. Sometimes you want to include your signature complete with your full address, phone number, title, etc. Other times you will just want to include your Short signature, like just your name, title, and phone number. The short signature is particularly good for QuoteValet "Your Quote is Ready" emails to your customers. The Email signature macros for use in the email templates are SignatureStandard, SignatureShort, SignatureAlternate1, SignatureAlternate2, SignatureAlternate3. Rather than typing in your email signature into each email template you setup, you can use email signature macros in them, making it easy to change your email signature in one place.

 826. There is a new Active Signature feature. When using an email signature macro in a template, you can use SignatureActive instead of SignatureStandard, SignatureShort, etc. When you use the SignatureActive macro, it will be replaced with whatever you set as the Active Signature. Take for example, if you have 20 email templates and in each one you used the macro SignatureStandard, then when you wanted to use a different signature like SignatureAlternate1, you would have to edit 20 templates. With the Active Signature feature, just use the SignatureActive macro in the 20 templates, and then under the Email tab of the Tools->My Preferences menu, just change your Active Signature to Alternate1 and you will not have to modify any of the templates. You can also switch between signatures that might have a monthly special offer included in it.

 827. Added several Misc Access rights for the new E-Mail Templating features which are CannotCreatePublicEmailTemplates, CannotModifyPublicEmailTemplates, CannotDeletePublicEmailTemplates, CannotViewOthersEmailTemplates, CannotCreatePublicEmailSnippets, CannotModifyPublicEmailSnippets, CannotDeletePublicEmailSnippets, and CannotViewOthersEmailSnippets.

 828. You can now right click on a File Link on the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook and email the selected file.

 829. The manual shipping amount specified on the Shipping Amount window accessible from the Document Items tab can now have a cost and an Item Type associated with it. A default ItemType for shipping can be set on the Documents tab under Tools->Options.

 830. On the QuoteValet tab under Tools->Options menu, there are now the options "Use For Peer Reviews" and "Use for Approval Requests" options for QuoteValet. With these settings, when QuoteValet is enabled, you can now choose to not use QuoteValet for these functions, if you prefer to just use the email method for these functions.

 831. Added new Approval restriction of "Don't allow Save to PDF until approved". When the document requires approval, the user will not be able to save a PDF file from the File->Print window, or save a PDF file from the Preview window.

 832. When inserting a heading line (Edit->Insert Heading), there is now an F2Lookup (press F2) to store a list of commonly used headings to select from.

 833. On the Send E-Mail window, ALT-S will now send the email.

 834. When clicking on the [Submit for Peer Review] button on the File->Print window, the email is now sent from the logged in user versus from the sales rep specified in the quote.

 835. When cloning a user, the email templates and email signatures for the user are also cloned.

 836. Added new macro field &APP_LoggedInUserMobilePhone.

 837. On the Print window, there is now a [QuoteValet Express Mode] button. When clicked, the quote will be saved quickly (without prompting for CRM integration), it will be uploaded to QuoteValet, and it will be previewed in your web browser. This is meant to be used after the initial upload of the quote to QuoteValet. This helps speed up the process of uploading, making changes, and then re-uploading.

 838. On the Upload to QuoteValet window, pressing the ESCAPE key will close the form.

 839. On the Upload to QuoteValet window, after emailing the customer notification email the window will be closed.

 840. Added a new "Auto Preview after upload checkbox on the Upload to QuoteValet window. When checked, this will preview the QuoteValet quote in your web browser, performing two actions with a single click. This setting is remembered per user.

 841. For ConnectWise users, it is now possible to create a Call activity without specifying a time.

Version 4.6 Build 3 (released March 21, 2011)

 842. Under the File->New menu, the last tab you selected - Either Blank or Template will be remembered.

 843. After uploading a quote to QuoteValet, the Print window now closes based on the Tools|My Preferences setting of "Auto-close Print window after previewing or printing".

 844. When deleting a document from QuoteValet, if the delete fails (maybe because the document is from a different or old account), you now have the option to remove the QuoteValet links from the QuoteWerks document.

 845. The Base Currency (from Windows Regional Settings) is now displayed under the Regional tab under the Tools->Options menu.

 846. Added support for Outlook 2010 changes to Exchange Public Folders.

 847. You can now send an email from the Edit Contact window.

 848. Added new user preference on the Misc tab under the Tools->My Preferences menu called "Warn if document is UNSAVED when printing/emailing."

Version 4.6 Build 2 (released February 16, 2011)

 849. QuoteValet v1.1 now supported! See specific details further below.

 850. Shipping Tax Code. The tax code of the Shipping amount is now stored per each document rather than per a global installation setting of the "Shipping is taxable" checkbox on the Installation tab of the Tools->Options menu. You can specify the tax code for the shipping amount on the Shipping Amount window by clicking on the [...] button next to the Shipping amount on the Document Items tab. The default tax code for the shipping amount can be set on the Documents tab of the Tools->Options menu.

 851. For Canadian users, the "Do not charge PST on Shipping" checkbox on the Sale Info tab of the Quote WorkBook has now been replaced with the new Shipping Tax Code.

 852. The shipping calculation method (Manual, Adding up, based on rate) is now being stored with the quote. and you can set the default method on the Defaults tab of the Tools->Options menu.

 853. The TaxSystem (USA or Canada) is now stored with each quote also. The UK and Australian tax system is very similar to the USA system, so in QuoteWerks they use the USA tax system.

 854. There is now a [Merge Macros and Preview] button on the toolbar when editing your html email signature. Often your email signature will contain macro fields. With this new feature you can easily see an in-editor preview of what the macro fields will be merged to so you can see what the final output would look like.

 855. The HTML email editor [View HTML Source] button on the editor toolbar now displays the HTML code behind your email with syntax highlighting.

 856. On the Sale Info tab you can specify an expiration date for the quote. This is particularly useful for QuoteValet users. If your customer views the quote on QuoteValet after it has expired, they will see a message stating that the quote has expired and there will be a link for them to click to request an updated quote from you. Your customer will still be able to view the quote, but will not be able to accept a quote that has expired.

 857. New support with Subtotals and % Charge/Discount lines. Now, if a % Discount or % Charge line item is the only line item between two Subtotals, the second subtotal will now be calculated as the first subtotal - the % Discount. Typically SubTotals simply sum up the line item prices since the previous subtotal.

 858. Added new cover page macros &DH_AlternateGrandTotal, &DH_AlternateSubTotal, &DH_AlternateTotalTax, &DH_AlternateLocalTax, &DH_&AlternateCurrencyIdentifier, &DH_&AlternateCurrencySymbol

 859. If a quote has already been uploaded to QuoteValet for customer review, if you attempt to upload the quote for peer review, you will now be warned that the peer review copy will overwrite the customer review copy. I normal cases, peer reviews are performed before releasing the quote to the customer.

 860. For QuoteValet users, you can now choose which QuoteValet Customer Facing Template you want to use for each quote. Sometimes you might want to upload a quote to QuoteValet that just has the PDF of the quote and then acceptance section - with no line item details. Other times depending upon the quote you may just want to upload the quote to QuoteValet that just shows the line items on the quote and no PDF file. And sometimes you may want to include both the line items and the PDF file attachment. Now you can do this.

 861. For QuoteValet users, the QuoteValet dashboard can do a lot more reporting. You can filter by date range and by user. You can also filter your dashboard data to see focused, actionable information such as quotes expiring in next week, any QuoteValet activity today, any quotes not viewed yet, all the quotes viewed by customers last week, all quotes accepted this month, etc.

 862. For QuoteValet users, Sales tax and shipping is now displayed in the QuoteValet quote. As options are selected and unselected, the shipping and sales tax for these changes are calculated in real-time on QuoteValet. The quotes tax system (USA or Canada) is automatically detected and taxes are calculated accordingly.

 863. For QuoteValet users, you can now recall a quote. When a quote is recalled, your customer will not be able to view the quote. Instead, they will be redirected to a template that says, for example, "Sorry, this document has been recalled on 12/15/2010 at 9:45am by John Lewe." Optionally you can set a reason for the recall that your customer will see. Often you will leave it blank, but typically you would enter something like "Sorry, I forgot to include monthly maintenance, I'll have an updated quote to you today by 4:00pm". Of course, if you can quickly address whatever you forgot to do in the quote you can just re-upload the quote to QuoteValet. The recall feature is mostly used when you know that you cannot quickly make the change that is needed. Additionally since QuoteValet enables you to publish your quote to the cloud (for a specific customer), it is important to know that you can rescind that publishing while at the same time letting the customer know that you purposely have recalled the quote rather than it just disappearing.

 864. For QuoteValet users, in the QuoteValet Dashboard you can now delete a quote from QuoteValet. Typically you will not need to or want to do this except for when you have been creating test quotes and uploading them to QuoteValet. Once a quote has been accepted by a customer through QuoteValet you are not able to delete that quote and the electronic signature acceptance documentation unless you have master rights in QuoteWerks.

 865. For QuoteValet users, QuoteValet quotes can be "Accepted by Proxy". While the most ideal situation is for you to upload your quote to QuoteValet and then have the customer click on "I Accept" through the QuoteValet page, sometimes the customer simply calls in to ask some clarifying questions or to accept the quote and provide their payment information at the same time. For just this situation, QuoteValet now has an "Accept by Proxy" feature. It works seamlessly within QuoteWerks. When you convert a quote to an order, the QuoteValet counterpart is flagged as Accepted. This is particularly important for reporting.

 866. For QuoteValet users, there is a now a new quote acceptance page, so after your customer accepts the quote they will be redirected to a simpler smaller page that just contains their acceptance confirmation.

 867. For QuoteValet users, When quotes are "Converted as Lost", the QuoteValet quote that you uploaded to QuoteValet will now also be converted as lost. This is particularly important for reporting.

 868. For QuoteValet users, you can now upload quotes to QuoteValet that contain optional items within optional groups. Combined with QuoteValet's ability to let the customer pick and choose various options this really takes the groups and options functionality to a much more effective level.

 869. The DataLink now supports the fields ContractStartDate and ContractEndDate.

Version 4.6 Build 1 (released January 11, 2011)

 870. QuickBooks 2011 is now supported!

 871. Outlook 2010 is now supported!

 872. Approvals. Have you ever had a sales rep email a quote to a customer that you wished you had reviewed before the customer received it? You now have that power within QuoteWerks! With the new Approval Requirements feature you can require that your sales reps obtain approval from you before a quote can be printed, emailed, or uploaded to QuoteValet. You can activate the Approval requirement per sales rep, and define under which conditions the approval is required and by who the approval needs to be obtained from. An Approval requirement can be triggered on a document or line item level. For example, if any single item's margin is less than 5%, then this quote requires an approval, or if the margin on the entire quote is less than 15%, then this quote requires an approval. When an approval is required, you can specify who is authorized to approve the quote. For example, if the quote amount is greater than 10,000 it requires the single approval from the sales reps manager. If the quote amount is greater than 50,000 then it requires a single approval from an escalated approver such as the CEO. If the quote amount is greater than 100,000 then it requires multiple approvals from escalated approvers such as the CEO and CFO. There are many different scenarios that can be accounted for. The Approval Requirements are setup Under the Utilities->User Maintenance menu. Select a user and click on the [Edit] button. From there, click on the Documents tab, and then click on the [Document Approval Settings] button. From there you can specify the approval requirements. When an approval is required, the user can request it by selecting the [Request Approval] button on the File|Print window. When used with the optional QuoteValet subscription, the approval features are greatly extended.

 873. Peer Reviews. Ever wanted to share a quote with your colleagues to get some feedback? With the QuoteWerks Peer Review features, this just got easier. From the File|Print window, click on the [Submit for Peer Review] button. This will send an email to your colleagues asking for feedback. When they receive the email, using the new "quotewerks protocol handler" feature, they can simply click on a hyperlink in the email and your quote will open up in their local installation of QuoteWerks.

 874. Microsoft Word merging. As an alternative to the built-in QuoteWerks report writer, you can now create Microsoft word based quotes and proposals from within QuoteWerks. Everyone knows how to use Microsoft Word. Word is more flexible than report designers and it is easy to design a Word based Quote layout since you already know how to use Word. QuoteWerks simply drops the data into your Word document wherever you want it. After merging, it is easy to make changes or tweaks to the Word document. Best of both worlds ? macro replacement and the ability to edit afterwards. To top it all off, QuoteWerks then automatically saves your data merged Word document as a PDF file and links it into the quote. The new Microsoft Word merging feature seamlessly integrates into the File|Print window. On the Layouts tab, you simply choose a Word Document Template rather than the built-in report designer layout. Sit back and watch QuoteWerks update your Word Document. Microsoft Word Document merging is also integrated into Links tab of the Quote WorkBook as a right click menu for "Merge Word document". You can select multiple Word documents (*.doc;*.docx) at the same time to merge.

 875. Unified Print, Share, Publish Deliver window. The Print window has been re-designed to support the new Microsoft Word merging, QuoteValet, Save as PDF, Peer Review, and Approval features. On the surface it may look familiar, but underneath it behaves very differently. Now, on the Layout tab, you can choose . This is useful if you just want to print a cover page or some literature, etc without printing a quote layout. Another difference on this tab is that you can now choose a Word document template from this tab. The word documents stored in the \Layouts\Quotes folder will appear in this tab. From this window, you have always been able to choose a layout, a cover page, multiple literature files, multiple spec sheets, and multiple files from the links tab. You can still do this, but now the layout is seamlessly either the built-in layout or an external word document template. When you select an .rtf cover page in addition, QuoteWerks automatically behind the scenes merges the macros in the RTF file, converts the RTF file to a PDF file, and then merges that PDF file with the PDF file output from the Word merge. The same happens for all the files on the Literature, Spec Sheet, and Links tabs. On the Links tab there is even more functionality. If you selected a Word document on the Links tab, then QuoteWerks will merge that Word document, convert it to a PDF file and then merge it with the other PDF output into one final PDF output.

 876. The QuoteWerks built-in E-mail client now supports HTML E-mail. You can do text formatting? Fonts, Bold, Color, etc. You can embed URLs, email address, etc in the message body. You can include images (Linked or Embedded). QuoteWerks Macro fields can be merged into the email, including Merging Hyperlink URLs. Additionally, the E-mail window has been updated with a new interface including a resizable window. The new HTML email client works with both the built-in QuoteWerks SMTP email and the QuoteWerks automation of Outlook.

 877. QuoteValet integration. QuoteValet is the online quote delivery and acceptance vehicle for QuoteWerks. QuoteValet is a more robust way to deliver quotes to your customers and prospects. Rather than attaching a PDF file to the quote and emailing it to your customer, QuoteValet will create a personalized web page to present the quote on quotevalet.com. The advantage of using QuoteValet is that you will actually know when your customer has received the quote. You will know when they have viewed the quote and how often they review the quote. Your customer will be able to change quote options dynamically and ask you questions through the customized quote page (keeping all communication together). Most importantly, they will be able to electronically accept and sign the quote! QuoteValet setup in QuoteWerks is on the QuoteValet tab of the Tools|Options menu. QuoteValet is accessed though the File|Print window, and also through the QuoteValet toolbar button.

 878. Quote Preparer feature. Now you can specify which users can create/prepare quotes on your behalf. These preparers can be specified on the Documents tab under the Utilities|User Maintenance menu.

 879. Added Misc Access right "CannotManuallyModifySalesRep". When this is set, the Sales Rep field cannot be changed by any user except users with Master rights.

 880. Added a new IsSelected variation of the Line Item Optional Attribute. With this, you can flag an item as being option, but as the SELECTED option. A SELECTED option will be included in the quote total. This is particularly useful with the QuoteValet integration, as you can present one or more options to your customer and you can pre-select the option that you recommend. In the site.ini file under the "System" section, there is also an INI key "OptionalSelectedItemText" which defaults to " (Optional - SELECTED)". This can be modified similar to the "OptionalItemText" INI key.

 881. The Line Item Optional Attribute is now supported for Group Header lines, effectively making the group as a whole (including all the line items in the group) optional. This is particularly useful with the QuoteValet integration.

 882. Line Items flagged as Optional can now also be flagged as mutually exclusive items. When the optional item is part of an Exclusive Group, the selection of one item will unselect the other options that are part of that exclusive option group. This is particularly useful with the QuoteValet integration.

 883. On the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook, there is now a right click menu for "Remove Link".

 884. You can now easily convert a Microsoft Word Document (*.doc;*.docx) into a PDF file from the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook. Simply right click on the Word document, and choose "Save as PDF". You can select multiple Word documents at the same time.

 885. On the print window, you can now choose any of the files from the tabs and e-mail them directly from this window.

 886. There is now a File|Login as another User menu. Very useful for administrators that need to log in as different users for setup and testing.

 887. On the E-mail address selection window there is now a right click menu option for "Add to TO", "Add to CC", "Add to BCC". Double clicking chooses the currently selected email address and closes the e-mail selection window.

 888. On the E-mail address selection window you can select e-mail addresses from QuoteWerks users or QuoteWerks groups.

 889. On the Document Items tab of the Quote WorkBook, double-clicking on the line item record selector now displays the Line Attributes window.

 890. Added Misc Access right "CannotUseQuoteValetLicense". This will prevent a user from being able to upload documents to QuoteValet. It will also prevent them from using the Peer Review and Approval features of QuoteValet.

 891. Added CustomText21, CustomText22, CustomText23, and CustomText24 to the Custom tab of the Quote WorkBook.

 892. Added CustomText15, CustomText16, CustomText17, CustomText18, CustomText19, CustomText20 fields on the Document Items tab.

 893. When changes have been made to the quote, a Save icon appears in the status bar (lower right) indicating that it needs to be saved.

 894. When a document template is open, the indicator "TEMPLATE" will appear in the status bar (lower right).

 895. Under the Utilities|Change Registration Information menu, there is now a new Licensee Website field. This is now used when integrating with QuoteValet. This website URL is displayed in the QuoteValet Company Letterhead banner. Also on the registration information window, the country is no longer required, and discrete City, State, and PostalCode fields have been added.

 896. On the Print window, under the Spec sheet tab, if specified spec sheet files are missing, these missing files will be detected and "Missing" (in red) will prefix the file name in the display. Also, there is now a tool tip for each spec sheet item so you can see the full path to where the spec sheet file is located.

 897. Emails are sent in larger packet chunks. For some slower SMTP servers this will yield, emails will be sent faster.

 898. Added new macros &APP_&LoggedInUserFullNameOrUserName, &DH_&SalesRepFullNameOrUserName, &APP_&LicenseeInlineAddress, &DH_&SalesRepInlineAddress, &APP_&LoggedInUserInlineAddress, &APP_&LoggedInUserPhoneWithExt, &DH_&SalesRepMobilePhone, &APP_LoggedInUserMobilePhone.

 899. Added new macro &SYS_NowA which formats the date/time, for example, as "October 9, 2010 2:34 pm". Also added macro &SYS_NowB which formats the date/time, for example, as "Saturday, Oct 9, 2010 2:34 pm".

 900. Added new QuoteWerks API method Application.BringToFocus

 901. Added new QuoteWerks API method Application.RestoreIfMinimized

 902. There is now a new "Heading" type line item. Typically Comment type line items would be also be used as Headings. Now there are defined Heading and Comment line items. Insert a heading line into the quote by choosing Edit|Insert Heading. When Heading lines are used, on the Add Item Assistant or from the Bundles, or Configurator, you can choose to insert the item as the first item under the heading, or append the item the last item under the Heading. When appending it as the "last" item under the Heading, it uses some "artificial Intelligence", so if the last items under the heading are a blank comment line, % charge line, % discount line, or subtotal line, then the item is added above those items. Heading lines are also useful in the printed output as Heading type line items can have their font larger and bold, whereas comments could be the same font size as the regular Product/Service line items. Some examples for Heading lines would be like "Family Room"/"Master Bedroom"/"Theater Room", or "Service"/"Parts", or "Servers"/"Workstations"/"Services"/"Managed Services"/"Anti-Virus"/"Monitoring".

 903. For SalesLogix users, "SalesLogix Remote Office" type of installations are now supported.

 904. Group header line items now support the Hide Price line item attribute. This is useful for hiding the rolled up total price of a grouped bundle.

 905. The fields in the Select Special drop down now have their customized labels displayed in parenthesis next to the field name.

 906. ConnectWise 2011.1 is now supported!

 907. QuickBooks UK 2011 is now supported!

 908. SugarCRM 6.1 is now supported!
