Question:

QuoteWerks Knowledgebase Article 6056 states that I need to make a backup of my entire QuoteWerks directory. How do I do this?


Answer:

There are a number of methods to backup your data:

- Copy the QuoteWerks folder to a CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, or other removable media types

- Copy the QuoteWerks folder to another network drive

- Upload the directory to an off-site backup via the web

- Use a conventional tape backup program.

These are only a few options. There are many out there. The main idea is that you make a copy of the folder so in the event that the drive where the QuoteWerks directory is kept fails, you can have a copy of the folder so that you can restore it to a new or repaired drive. If you have a network administrator or an IT person available, you may wish to discuss these options with them.
