Installation - 429 Active X error when clicking Print button

Issue:

On a 64 Bit installation of Windows Server 2008 (Terminal Server), when any user clicks the Print button they receive a 429 ActiveX error and QuoteWerks crashes. Also reported Runtime Error 70, Permission Denied doing the same thing.

Cause:

The scrrun.dll file may not be registered in all the correct places. In 64 Bit installations of Windows, there are two folders - Windows\system32 and Windows\SysWOW64. Typically when this error occurs, the scrrun.dll file is only registered to the system32 folder.

Solution:

Log in as an Administrator and then manually register the scrrun.dll file to the SysWOW64 folder from an elevated command prompt. Go to Start and in the Search box type cmd. Right click on the icon that pops up in the Start menu and choose "Run As Administrator". In the command prompt that launches, type

regsvr32 "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\scrrun.dll"

and hit Enter. It should report that the registration was successful. Close out of the command prompt and launch QuoteWerks; the error should be resolved.
